Composed by Fiona Hickie. Contemporary,Standards. Score. 7 pages. Fiona Alice Hickie #4853343. Published by Fiona Alice Hickie (A0.738138).

A song about loss of love and the devastation it causes to our lives.
Lyrics:

1.

My roots once clung to the earth,

The wind is calm the river still.

As if nothing else survives.

My world is empty, am I alive?

From my limbs a fruit was plucked,

Within its sheath my heart was tucked.

Its seeds contained my unknown future,

Inside a flesh so sweet and pure.

2.

Would my seeds find a place to fall?

Nice fertile ground so they'd grow tall.

Or would they find some barren ground.

Where no love or nurture can be found?

Without the fruit my limbs were bare.

An old tree nearby just stood and stared.

Why should it stop and help the tree

Who let its fruit be taken from thee.

3.

About the charmer who took the fruit?

Should he help to make them grow?

Instead he walked right off the land.

With barely a wave of his hand.

He bit the apple as he walked away.

Enjoying its flesh but did not stay.

No care at all for the damage heā€™d done

He took the heart from his loved one.

4.

So grow another fruit you say.

And yes that would be the logical way.

But some trees grow abundant fruit.

Small and nice without dispute.

Others instead grow one to perfection.

Round and sweet, on close inspection.

But once itā€™s gone then that is all.

Then no more shall ever fall.

5.

I sit here on the barren hill,

The wind is calm the river still.

As if nothing else survives.

The world is empty no soul survives.

Country store: sound of F is written for Vocals and piano. Written in F makes this work a one of a kind good.

Rock progression was used in the song. A splendidly good song!

I suppose the song says, although it does not necessarily, but could be a song that says: I am not poor because I got you! But in the song the Man doing the adoring-is most likely the reason why there is such goodness. Help us with your best lion roar, would mean to be adored, to be made more than judgmental.

Vocals are:

I C the birds, I C the trees, O how sweet they are to me,

I am living life feeling O so free, not a problem you can C in me.

To my left I C a Store, I C I need some more. I C a Cat, can I tell you some more my friend, I walk into the store.

Cat follows close behind walking on the floor. Candies and Cakes, I should get some more, get some for the Cat I adore.

I C the birds, I C the trees, O how sweet they are to me,

I am living life feeling O so free, not a problem you can C in me.

As I am Walking out the door, I C the Cat shake his head youā€™re so poor. You C me Cat, I am the more, that you C I am not so poor.

Youā€™re talking like you want a war, let me ask you do you own the store? You C the shore, you C the store, you C me with all the more. If you see it is you I adore, shout and give me your best lion roar.

I C the birds, I C the trees, O how sweet they are to me.

Tasty treats I adore,

Tasty treats fill my core,

Cakes and Candy galore/ all the more,

Give me Give me, I want more.

I C the birds, I C the trees, O how sweet they are to me.

Tasty treats on the shore

Tasty treats in the store

By Cheryl Prazak. By Music by Jon Burr, Lyrics by Cheryl Prazak. Arranged by Jon Burr. Country. Score. 15 pages. Cheryl Prazak #915482. Published by Cheryl Prazak (A0.1327438).

Part of Cheryl Prazak's Military Trilogy, this is a story of parental advice to a grown child who's become down on their luck.
This is a piano/vocal arrangment.

Music, arranging and production by Jon Burr

The Lyric:
Everything was fine, not so very long ago.
I had a weekly paycheck, I was rolling in the dough.
I had a truck, got me where I needed to go.
I didnā€™t know how much I had, ā€˜til things began to blow.

Everything was fine, then my tire picked up a tack.
The rubber was so thin, you see, it really set me back.
ā€œWhatā€™s the problem now?ā€ was all my boss would say,
Gave me my last paycheck, and sent me on my wayā€¦

So, here I am remembering, not so long ago,
I had a weekly paycheck, I was rolling in the dough.
I had my pick-up truck back then, had a shirt. and had a wife.
I didnā€™t know how little I had because, well, that was life.

Sleeping in my pick-up truck, the light began to dawn.
I would go back home, before my last chance was blown.
I would tell my loving folks, at last I saw the light,Ā
My prospects didnā€™t look so good, my future, none too bright.

Could they start me off again, with tuition and the such, and
help me get a-brand new tire, for my raggedy olā€™ truck?
If they could be so kind, as to set me on my way,Ā
I would do my very best, their kindness to repay

Consider the military, said my folks, sounding wise
they told me I need extra time, didnā€™t mean to criticize
Maybe they were onto something, maybe that could help
Why, oh, why didnā€™t I think of that myself?

Military lifeā€™s not easy, as I learned from the start,Ā
but I came out much the better, and learned to have some heart.
Well, Iā€™m that better man now, after going through all this.
Finally got my life in shape, it had been so amiss.

I repaid my folksā€™ advice, as I promised that I would,
Became the son they hoped for, the man they knew I could.
We often go to see them, and they visit the wife and me,
Now theyā€™re contented grandfolks, with babies on each knee!

Once upon a time, when I was really stuck,Ā
I went back home to see the folks, which became a day of luck.
Military service, Iā€™m glad I took it up.
Life changed for me, when I stopped sleeping in that olā€™ truck.

My music is a merging of lovers rock and neo soul. I write predominantly about music of the heart, or romantic music for those who are blissfully in love. I have not had an easy road, so I write from brokenness, disappointment and sorrow, because I am trying to heal.

At a young age, I always felt sad and knew that I was interested in the deep topics of why we are here, so I started to write poems, which I found therapeutic because they allowed me to get out emotions that I could not express, or understand.

I want to bring understanding to those who like me have been through heavy stuff, that keeps repeating and the one is always the one, not!. Yet, we keep hoping because all around us are happy, pda couples who just sail into relationships that we can only dream of.

I am now resigned to help the World by putting into song, all the wrongs they did because I now believe that this is my destiny. For me hope has gone, but for you I will clear your road of all the dross and debris, so you can cruise into romantic happiness.

This song burst forth demanding to be heard after months of emotional turmoil and heartbreak, and with every listen, I heal a little bit more.

Please take a listen to my healing song Hello My Love, and if you want a visual dramatization that is as powerful as the song, then watch the video.

Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 10 pages. Kevin G. Pace #453243. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.846557).

A beautiful vocal duet for tenor and alto. Words by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. Text: O, Savior of my soul: Make me whole, make me whole. Lend comfort to my mourning heart for errors I still owe. Pure penitence burns deep within; I implore thy grace. Let mercy claim my broken pledge as I seek thy face. O, trust my contrite plea: Set me free, set me free. As deepest anguish stirs inside, seek me searchingly. Consuming fire leaves no stain; cleanse my evā€™ry thought. O, lead me to thy suffā€™ring side where I can be taught. O, my beloved child: I am here; I am here. Each mournful moment pardons fault, drying evā€™ry tear. So blessed are they who grieve for sins; know my holy name. Remember I have givā€™n my soul; that is why I came. O, child of my soul: Hear my voice, hear my voice. Sure comfort comes with strains of love; solace is my choice. My covenant assures thy peace, lending holiness, Then beauty for sweet ashes gives my eternal rest. Now Iā€™m whole, I am whole; I can see thy face. O, now my soul is comforted in thy warm embrace.

Footprints In The Garden

On the path were footprints in the garden, whose they were, I could not find a sign.
Thinking I was alone in the garden, I supposed the footprints to be mine.

I could not hear your sweet voice pleading, summoning me from a world somewhere.
You were in the garden interceding, but I didnā€™t remember that You care.Ā

I could not hear your kind voice calling, lost was I in a world of despair.
On my heavy heart your voice was falling, I had long forgotten You were there.

Now I hear your voice gently whispering, falling softly as the morning dew.
I can feel your loving touch refreshing, bidding me to start my life anew.

All the time You were there in the garden, giving me your love and strength sublime.
I thought I was alone in the garden; wondrously, You were there all the time.

But now your gentle voice I am hearing, breaking through the din and through the fray.
Yours the voice of my kind Master speaking, in the garden from which I did stray.

Like roses lost within a labyrinth, still fragrantly blossom in the rain.
In the garden now two sets of footprints, that is where my roses bloom again.
That is where my roses bloom again.

A fun, country-style song about good memories of mom and coming home again. Ā Music by Kevin G. Pace. Ā Text by Kathryn W. Hales.

Text:
The teacher said I had done a good job,
And applied a bright shiny star,
At the To the top of the grammar school paper,
I cannot wait to show it to Ma.ā€

The coach said that old cut was nothin at all,
Though it might just leave a scar.
ā€œYou've just gotta be tough, he said with voice so gruff,
I know Mama's kiss can heal from a far.

Chorus:
Ā I'm comin' back home to you, Mama,
Though my steps have taken me so far,
Oh, praise for a star and a kiss for a scar,
I am comin' back home to where you are. .

I've grown now, moved on or so they say,
Cut those old apron strings,
Though your hair is as snow, your voice so low,
Your face such sweet memories bring.Ā

Ā Across the wide world I've traveled,
The miles between us are long,
Ā But through the years, the fears, and through the tears,
Your smile floats to me like a song.

Chorus:

Ending:
When life's road gets rough
And the goin' gets so tough,
Home will be wherever;
Wherever you are.

Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score. 53 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #681663. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.1077471).

I set my first Christina Rossetti poem back in 1998 for my song cycle, Love Songs. The poem A Birthday begins with the most delightful set of words, My heart is a like a singing bird ... Looking for something to set for my next song cycle I rediscovered Christina via his brother, the poet and painter, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. IMHO, he is much more brilliant as a painter, and his sister is the true genius poet!!! Christina's father emigrated to England from Italy in 1824. Consequently, all four children (Maria, Dante, William and Christina) spoke Italian at home when they were young. To my delight many of Christina's early poems are in Italian. And since I am an insufferable Italophile, this song cycle will consist only of her poems in Italian. I. Versi II. Amore e Dovere III. Amore e Dispetto IV. L'Uommibatto V. CuccurucĆ¹! VI. Composed by Latin American Folk Song. Arranged by Sarah Martinez. Children,Folk,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score. 3 pages. Sarah Martinez #339177. Published by Sarah Martinez (A0.730920).

This arrangement of Alfonso XII has been adapted for a solo singer with piano accompaniment. This song tells a story about Alfonso XII, King of Spain from December 1874 until his death in November 1885. It is a song tale known in many Latin American countries. As is typical of folk songs, there are many popular variations and additional verses. English translation: Where are you going, Alfonso XII? Where are you going so sadly? I am looking for Mercedes because I lost her yesterday. Mercedes is already dead, and it's true because I saw her. Four dukes carried her through the streets of Madrid. The lanterns of the castle no longer want to light, Because Mercedes has died, and they are in mourning. Poor little Mercedes, she died like a flower. Similar arrangements for SATB, SAB, TB, and 2-part choirs are also available. You may also find this song under the alternate title ĀæDĆ³nde vas, Alfonso Doce?.
