Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1159527 By New Christy Minstrels. By Woody Guthrie. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Folk. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #759794. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1159527). This Land Is Your Land is one of the United States' most famous folk songs. Its lyrics were written by American folk singer Woody Guthrie in 1940 in critical response to Irving Berlin's God Bless America, with melody based on a Carter Family tune called When the World's on Fire. This contemporary version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some, what we think are some pretty cool left-hand rhythms to keep the beat goin'! We hope you like what we've done with the song!
