The melody of the song was composed in the early morning at 5:30 am on the first day of March and the Chinese lyrics were added at 2:00 am before the daybreak on March the 2nd. That Waltz was created for Alvin, the elder son of the composer, which was used as a birthday gift. Because it happened that Alvin was just on a tour trip along the Ireland that time, the song’s title Irish Tour Waltz could be appropriate. When the composer hummed the song many times, he felt that it has some flavor of Johann Strauss waltz. As a result, words - It may carry 10 % flavor of Johann Strauss were added as subtitle.

Not only that the Great Smoky Mountain, which was clearly visible on the sunny day, was completely blocked by the fog, the neighbors' brick houses and flowers are also very hazy. But, the cricket's sound could be heard clearly.  I wrote the Autumn fog in twenty eight Chinese characters. Twenty-three years later, when I was seventy-seven years old, I found the poem in the old manuscript and scanned it into an electronic version. I used two days to compose a song for the poem.
