Stairway to the Stars is a popular song composed by Matty Malneck and Frank Signorelli, with lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was based on a theme from Malneck and Signorelli's 1934 instrumental piece, Park Avenue Fantasy. Hit recordings in 1939 were by Glenn Miller, Kay Kyser, Jimmy Dorsey and by Al Donohue. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

Moonlight Serenade is an American swing ballad composed by Glenn Miller with subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. In 1991 Miller's recording of Moonlight Serenade was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. This version features a root-based chord-blocking technique that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added a few left-hand fills to make it a little more interesting - not that it wasn't interesting enough, I mean we're talking Glen Miller here!

In 1977, the Louisiana State Legislature decreed that You Are My Sunshine would be a state song, to honor two-time governor Jimmie Davis. This version features a root-based chord-blocking that John and I have used in many of our arrangements. This one sounds pretty cool when played with a lively, country-western rhythm.
