By The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. By Jeremy Finer and Shane MacGowan. Arranged by Mario Stallbaumer. Celtic,Christmas,Irish,Pop. Score. 7 pages. Mario Stallbaumer #918246. Published by Mario Stallbaumer (A0.1330377).

With this sheet music, you can play Fairytale of New York by the Pogues on the piano!

It's an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement of the famous Christmas song.

Written by Jem Finer and Shane MacGowan, Fairytale of New York is a beautiful Irish folk ballad. The Pogues recorded it together with Kirsty MacColl, and included it on their 1988 album If I Should Fall from Grace with God.

Released as a single in November 1987, Fairytale of New York became one of the most popular Christmas songs in the UK and is even considered the best Christmas song of all time.

It's certainly not your typical feel-good Christmas song - it covers issues like alcoholism and drug abuse, wrecked dreams, and comes with quite a few slurs and swear words.
At the same time, it's also a song with an honest message of love and hope, and it might just be what one needs to hear during the Christmas season.

In any case, it's a wonderful song to play on the piano. Merry Christmas!
