Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #893379. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1303856). Prisoner of Love is a 1931 popular song, with music by Russ Columbo and Clarence Gaskill and lyrics by Leo Robin. This beautiful song, with music actually written by Russ Columbo, could not be sung better by any baritone crooner of the early late 1920s and early 1930s. This version was developed from the original 1931 sheet music and features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements - we hope you like what we've done with this classic tune!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.995987 Composed by Dave Flippo-music, Marie Yuen-lyrics. Broadway,Musical/Show. Score. 7 pages. David William Flippo #4767971. Published by David William Flippo (A0.995987). Sung by: Roxane    A song of distraction (in more ways than one)  while waiting for a weekly visitor.  Piano / Vocal score. From Roxane of Bergerac - A full length musical -  A romantic action-comedy date musical about Roxane's refusal to be merely decorative when it comes to living her life, and this while questing for True Love and her Hero of True Romance.   The musical language is a blend of Jazz and Renaissance musical styles that parallels the mash-up of today’s slang with the preciosity (refined speech) of some 16th century Parisians.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1273465 Composed by Arthur Hammerstein and Dudley Wilkinson. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Film/TV,Jazz. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #865604. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1273465). Because of You is a popular song written by Arthur Hammerstein and Dudley Wilkinson in 1940. A 1951 recording by Tony Bennett was his first major hit, reaching number one on the Billboard charts and staying there for 10 weeks. Due to its importance in establishing his fame, he continued to perform the song for the rest of his career, even singing it at his final concert performances 70 years after its release. It was one of the last songs rehearsed at his piano before he died. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills for your listening (playing?) pleasure - we hope you like what we've done to make this Tony Bennett ballad unique.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.794127 Composed by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #6525861. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794127). In the view of critic Ted Gioia, the definitive version of this song was sung by Billie Holiday in 1941. We're all familiar with Willie Nelson's version which was included in his Stardust album and reached No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 1978 - we have patterned this version after the Willie Nelson cover. This arrangement features a root-based chord-blocking which we kind of morphed into a simple stride that's not too hard to play (like all of our arrangements). It sounds great as written, but make it yours if you so choose! John and I hope you like this one!
