I'm wearin' awa', Jean,
Like snaw wreaths in thaw, Jean,
I'm wearin' awa'
To the land o' the leal.
There's nae sorrow there, Jean,
There's neither cauld nor care, Jean,
The day is aye fair,
In the land o' the leal.

Ye aye were leal and true, Jean,
Your task's ended noo, Jean,
And I'll welcome you
To the land o' the leal.
Our bonnie bairn's there, Jean,
She was baith gude and fair, Jean,
And O we grudged her sair
To the land o' the leal.

Then dry that tearful e'e, Jean,
My soul langs to be free, Jean,
And angels wait on me
To the land o' the leal.
Now fare ye weel, my ain, Jean,
This warld's care is vain, Jean,
We'll meet and aye be fain
In the land o' the leal.

SKU: A0.1435663

Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Konrad Harley. Celtic,Folk,Irish. Score. 4 pages. Konrad Harley #1015752. Published by Konrad Harley (A0.1435663).

Based on the traditional Irish tune Lough Sheeling and words from The Irish Minstrel (Edinburgh: Robert Purdie, 1825), p. 10. Arranged with a new piano accompaniment by Konrad Harley (1986-), 2024.

Lyrics:
1. Adieu, my lov'd Harp! for no more shall the vale
Re-echo thy notes as they float on the gale;
No more melting pity shall sigh o'er thy string,
Or love to thy tremblings so tenderly sing.

2. When battle's fell strife launch'd its thunders afar,
And valour's dark brow wore the honours of war,
'Twas thou breath'd the fame of the hero around,
And young emulation was wak'd by the sound.

3. Ye daughters of Erin, soon comes the sad day
When over the turf where I sleep, ye shall say--
“Oh! still is the song we repaid with a tear,
And silent the string that delighted the ear.”.

SKU: A0.1460633

Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Konrad Harley. Celtic,Irish. Score. 4 pages. Konrad Harley #1039535. Published by Konrad Harley (A0.1460633).

Based on the traditional Irish melody The Coolun from The Minstrelsy of Ireland, ed. Alfred Moffat (London: Augener & Co., 1897), p. 274.
Words by Thomas Moore (1779-1852).

Lyrics:
1. Though the last glimpse of Erin with sorrow I see,
Yet wherever thou art shall seem Erin to me;
In exile thy bosom shall still be my home,
And thine eyes make my climate wherever we roam.

2. To the gloom of some desert, or cold rocky shore,
Where the eye of the stranger can haunt us no more,
I will fly with my Coulin, and think the rough wind
Less rude than the foes we leave frowning behind.

3. And I'll gaze on thy gold hair as graceful it wreathes,
And hang o'er thy soft harp, as wildly it breathes;
Nor dread that the cold-hearted Saxon will tear
One chord from that harp, or one lock from that hair.

Though the Last Glimpse of Erin

SKU: A0.1493797

Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Konrad Harley. Celtic,Irish. Score. 4 pages. Konrad Harley #1070465. Published by Konrad Harley (A0.1493797).

Based on a traditional Irish air from The Minstrelsy of Ireland, ed. Alfred Moffat (London: Augener & Co., 1897), p. 171.
Arranged by Konrad Harley (1986-), 2024.
Words by Thomas Moore (1779-1852).

Lyrics:
Oh! Arranmore, lov'd Arranmore,
How oft I dream of thee,
And of those days when, by thy shore,
I wander'd young and free.
Full many a path I've tried since then
Thro' pleasure's flow'ry maze,
But ne'er could find the bliss again
I felt in those sweet days.

How blithe upon thy breezy cliffs
At sunny morn I've stood,
With heart as bounding as the skiffs
That danc'd along thy flood;
Or, when the western wave grew bright
With daylight's parting wing,
Have sought that Eden in its light
Which dreaming poets sing.

That Eden where th'immortal brave
Dwell in a land serene,--
Whose bow'rs beyond the shining wave
At sunset oft are seen.
Ah, dream too full of sadd'ning truth!
Those mansions o'er the main
Are like the hopes I built in youth,--
As sunny and as vain!

Oh! Arranmore

Based on a traditional Irish air from The Minstrelsy of Ireland, ed. Alfred Moffat (London: Augener & Co., 1897), p. 170. Arranged by Konrad Harley (1986-), 2024.

Lyrics:
Oh! amber-hair'd Nora,
That thy fair head could rest
On the arm that would shelter
Or circle thy breast:
Thou hast stol'n all my brain, love,
And then left me lone--
Though I'd cross o'er the main, love,
To call thee my own.

My fair one is dwelling
By Moy's lovely vale,
Her rich locks of amber
Have left my cheek pale;
May the king of the Sabbath
Yet grant me to see
My herds in the green lanes
Of fair Baileath-Buidhe!
