This warm-up is for all singers who need some help with singing one note amidst

harmonies or chords. The goal of this warmup is to:

1) Help distinguish different notes in each chord.

2) Learn the Chromatic scale. The warmup goes up by half steps.

3) To increase airflow and control while singing and to exercise the diaphragm.

Hints:

Sing easy  or in falsetto at the start of practicing. Then, as practice gets more involved,

sing more strongly with more presence in the chest and head voice.

This is perfect for beginning and intermediate singers mostly. Advanced singers could use it for its chromatic nature. Get this if you need help with melody or harmony and finding parts of harmony in music.

An easily learned arrangement for the church pianist who wants to have a more flowing style of music to accompany congregational singing. This tune is also used in the hymn Onward Christian Soldiers but this arrangement has been designed to be less march-like or militaristic. To that end, the melody is retained, as well as traditional timing to help singers even if a song leader is not present. It is suitable for preludes or offertories. The lyrics themselves emphasize unity, service, and purpose.  Right hand melody.
