Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1298967 Composed by Ian Calvert. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday. Score. 7 pages. Ian Calvert #888817. Published by Ian Calvert (A0.1298967). This is the first publication of a new Christmas song, set for baritone and piano. The words are those of a poem by Leonard Clark (1905 – 1981), an English poet who was raised in The Forest of Dean, in the west of England. In 1972 he published a slim little book of Christmas poems, of which ‘Singing in the Streets’ is one, surely one of the most appealing of Christmas poems. It gives its name to the book. The poem tells of an older man revisiting the village of his boyhood, and wondering whether, somehow, the streets still hold the sound of the carols that he and the other boys and girls sang there. It begins: ‘I had almost forgotten the singing in the streets,Snow piled up by the houses, drifting Underneath the door into the warm room, …’ It is very evocative of that time and of the magic that Christmas always holds for children. Drawn from the same book of poems there is available another new Christmas song, called The Birth; that one is set in two versions, one for voice and piano and the other for SATB a cappella. Ian Calvert.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.915701 Composed by Richard Joseph Barber. Christian,Contemporary,Gospel,Sacred. Score. 9 pages. Barber Music Company #4727367. Published by Barber Music Company (A0.915701). DedicationSometime in the 1980's, Richard Tober, a brother in Christ who was also an appliance repair man, came to our house on Hill Street in Coloma, Michigan to fix our kitchen range. He knew that I was a composer, and during the course of his time with us that day he told about his love for Jesus and his aspiration to write poetry with music to express that love. He didn't feel he was equipped to put music to his words, but he did have a poem that he gave me, wondering if I would set it to music for him. It was a difficult task because Richard's poetry was not set up in any formal poetic fashion; it was, however, a fulfilling task because his poem was such a simple, childlike, personal expression of his love for the Lord. I Am Going Home to Glory is the result of our collaboration. He was thrilled with the outcome. Now that Richard has left this world to be with Jesus, I am happy that God allowed and enabled me to set Richard's poem to music. -Richard Barber

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033304 Composed by Charles Wesley (lyrics), Alex Hartel (music). Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score. 1 pages. Alexander Hartel #6293837. Published by Alexander Hartel (A0.1033304). This is a congregational setting of a powerful hymn text written by Charles Wesley. Beginning with the line, Where shall my wondering soul begin?, these lyrics are believed by some to have been written shortly after Charles and John Wesley accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. The first stanza includes the well-known phrase, a brand plucked from eternal fire, a description which John Wesley often applied to himself and which had significant personal meaning for him. Music written in 2018 by Alex Hartel. .

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.896317 Composed by Doug Howell. Christian. Score. 6 pages. Creative Measures #4726471. Published by Creative Measures (A0.896317). I was dragging a bit as I walked across campus in the morning chill, wondering what the day might bring. Looking down. It had frosted during the night, and I was watching my step, I guess, when out of the corner of my eye I saw a brilliant sparkle that stopped me in my tracks. The sun, peeking above the horizon for approval, had sent out a special ray to attract my attention. When I looked closer, I saw an overturned leaf, covered with-diamonds! And oh, how I needed a promise right about then.Throughout that day and the days afterward, I was struck by just how extravagant God is with diamonds-and promises. Now that my eyes were opened, I seemed to see them everywhere: right in front of me, where I least expected them to be, in my memories, in my future. I’m still seeing them...For mp3, more notes and lyrics, sheet music, accompaniment track, and MIDI file see https://creativemeasures.com/music/songs/diamonds/
