Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818338 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple. Praise & Worship. Score. 32 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6200707. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818338). With all My Heart I Thank You ♫ original song by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ CCLI #7153226 ♫ Worship Team Edition ♫ Based on Psalm 9 ♫ Thanks anyway… I suppose I should thank you… Thank you!... Thanks a lot (NOT!)… I thank you from the bottom of my heart… Thank you very much. That’s the nicest thing anyone’s every done for me. Our expressions of gratitude can represent quite a range of emotion. Ungrateful < lukewarm < minimal < genuine < deeply felt < extravangantly expressed. ♫ ‘With all my heart’ is often a Christian cliché. But it caught my eye in this Psalm of David. ♫ David had a lot to be thankful for. His early experiences, physical strength, musical abilities, organizational talent, leadership abilities, his loyal following, his wealth, the rise from shepherd (pretty low status in Hebrew culture) to monarch, his extended and extensive family, the many, many times God had rescued him from physical danger, and God’s grace that saved him from rightfully being publicly executed as an adulterer. ♫ “With all my heart.†I need to ask myself “Is my gratitude to God fresh, heartfelt, and appropriate?†♫ music © 2020 (copyright registered in Worthy Worship and 6 Other Unpublished Works) ♫ recording ℗ 2020 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ presentation © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ sequenced by the composer ♫ This .pdf file includes 1) labeled copies for up to 7 printed copies of the vocal with piano accompaniment and 2) vocal with piano accompaniment for 10 inch tablet. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.913979 Composed by Arthur Breur. Pop,Rock. Score. 8 pages. Floating Home Music #4780747. Published by Floating Home Music (A0.913979). This piece was commissioned by Annette Saarinen for her granddaughter Aurora, who happens to be studying chemistry (among other things) so she can pursue her goals of working on environmental restoration.Composing a song that is a gift for a friend's granddaughter is fraught with a number of perils, particularly when one of the inspirations is that the recipient of the song likes Adele tunes. Adele's songs are mostly romantic songs about lost or unrequited love, so the lyrics couldn't really come across as being FROM the grandmother.Knowing that Aurora is studying chemistry, however, gave me a clue as to how I could make the piece work nicely: make it sound like a love song about the chemistry between two people, when in fact, the lyrics are talking about how our use of chemistry is both responsible for the state of our environment and the means we must use to fix it.I did use my usual trick of starting with words or names, and have composed both Aurora and Chemistry into the notes of the piece, the former in the accompaniment, and the latter as the foundation for the verse melody.Duration: 3m54s.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1255098 Composed by Ross Fiddes. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. Score. 25 pages. Ross Fiddes #848692. Published by Ross Fiddes (A0.1255098). It was in the aftermath of the 2020 summer bushfires in Australia that soprano Ayse Goknur Shanala rang me from Cyprus to suggest I compose a work about climate change, a subject of concern for me.  My research for lyrics did not elicit anything I considered suitable, so I turned to Derek Dowding, a local poet, singer, actor, raconteur, and a person vitally interested in the future of humanity and of the planet.Derek and I had worked together before – he brilliantly performed the role of Abelard in the workshopping and concert performances of my hybrid opera “Abelard and Heloiseâ€, which, in 1997, won the supreme CONDA (City of Newcastle Drama Award)  for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Newcastle Theatre’ against some 200 other stage productions in Newcastle’s bi-centenary year.Derek worked long and late on the lyrics for the work, producing an emotional document covering history, cause and effect.  His words produced musical responses from me which I consider react appropriately to both his words and the subject matter. I hope our listeners will agree. For the musical treatment I had to consider that the length of the work, through-sung, 20+ minutes, required a recurrent grounding to avoid too many thematic ideas getting in the way of the words.  To that end, I created a quasi-reflective section which appears, rondo-style, quite a few times during the length of the piece.  And, for further cohesion, I built an ABA (ternary) section early to address certain word structures.  Mostly, the various sections followed the stanza structure provided by Derek, with some combinations.  My musical style is essentially melodic, but with dramatic and other episodes, be they tonal, astringent, harmonically indecisive and so on.  In building the work I was principally influenced by the impact and flow of the words. The work is quite mammoth for both the singer and the pianist.  I was absolutely delighted that Anna Fraser again premiered a work of mine – in 2015 she marvellously premiered another major composition of mine, reviewed here:  http://soundslikesydney.com.au/reviews/concert-review-the-man-in-the-other-roomacacia-quartetanna-fraser/19830.htmlWe can only hope that the new work ultimately adds to the chorus of warnings and concern about the climactic future that awaits if we continue to ignore or postpone dramatic and urgent attention to addressing the causes of climate change.A living orb cloaked white and blue and greenRevolving and evolving, tight-hugged in orbit flightWe ride her back; dependent, fragile offspring.Suckling all the while …but have we bonded?A world unlike any other world we’ve seenGifted with Water, Air, Earth and perfect Light. The essentials of life. Freely, these gifts she brings.Free for all but how have we responded?                                                                     Poem© 2020 Derek DowdingRoss FiddesJanuary 2023.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1426117 By Stacey Plays Hymns. By St. Athenogenes and Stacey Plays Hymns. Arranged by Anastace. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 13 pages. Anastace #1006913. Published by Anastace (A0.1426117). I discovered this ancient Greek hymn from the year 296 and was inspired to create music for it since there was none, and ended up adding original lyrics for a third verse along the way. This song features lilting, minor melodies in a Celtic style, with a flowing piano accompaniment for an altogether ethereal piece of music, perfect for special music during a church service or even congregational singing led by a small choir or lead singer. The main melody is kept very simple and singable to make it easy for a congregation to learn quickly and sing along right away, while the descant and piano part add deep richness and complexity to support the beauty of the lyrics. This is a good song for Trinity Sunday or any evensong or funeral service, as it references evening light and the sun descending, while praising the Father, Son, and Spirit. The file includes the complete score, as well as piano and vocal parts separately for your printing convenience - it will save quite a few pages on everyone's music stand or piano!Although the original was recorded in F# minor, this version is in G Minor for more playability. For other formats, including large print, a different key to match a soloist's preferred range, or the matching piano solo, please write me at staceyplayshymns@gmail.com and I'll be glad to make them especially for you. Purchase includes a free license for one church service with under 300 people, with proper attribution and credit in any printed or online materials. For a license to use this work on a larger scale, please contact me for permission and other usage details including lyrics formatted for printing in church bulletins or for powerpoint. Please let me know if there is any other way I can serve you as a congregation or fellow music/choir director as I endeavour to write several new choral anthems per year, along with my other recording work.Thank you for supporting modern hymnwriters and musicians!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1435089 Composed by Stanley M Hoffman. 21st Century,Classical,Opera. Score. 48 pages. Stanleymhoffman.com #1015189. Published by stanleymhoffman.com (A0.1435089). Opera Scenes 1. At the Clothing Department (3:00); 2. To Get a Ration (9:00) - vocal soloists & piano or chamber ensemble (cl, bn, tpt, tbn, perc, vln, vc) with live or prerecorded crowd noise - 2021, 2024. The libretto is comprised of the insightful observations of a young Jewish boy—Abraham “Abramek” Koplowicz—who was trapped by the Nazis in the Lodz ghetto and who later died in Auschwitz. The libretto appears before each scene in the scores. This may be a relatively brief piece, but it is a major one for me and posthumously for the author. I am fortunate to be the only person given blanket gratis permission to set the words of Abraham Koplowicz to music. He composed a book of poetry, plays, and artwork while imprisoned in the Lodz Ghetto before perishing later in Auschwitz before he could become a Bar Mitzvah. The contents of that book are quite good, sophisticated for his age. Abraham's late half-brother, Eliezer Grynfeld—who found the book in the 1990s—and I eventually became good friends. The Pope once kissed Eliezer's hand. That is how highly regarded this collection is and, by some stroke of luck or fate, I have got exclusive musical rights to the book until it enters the public domain. In my settings of AT THE CLOTHING DEPARTMENT and TO GET A RATION, I combine the musical language of Schoenberg's A SURVIVOR FROM WARSAW very nearly with the instrumentation of Stravinsky's A SOLDIER'S TALE - only the percussion instruments differ. The musical language of these brief opera scenes is appropriately terse, very much in keeping with the oppressiveness of imprisonment. Please have a look and a listen. Thank you for your consideration. ---Words originally in Polish by Abraham (“Abramek”) Koplowicz (b. 1930, Lodz, Poland, d. 1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau) Translation by Sarah Lawson and Ma?gorzata Koraszewska Adapted by Stanley M. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.1493840). Full scoreProgram note.  Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826) was a man of many things: lawyer, judge, Mayor of Belley, author and professional violinist. He is most famous for his book, Physiologie du goût (The Physiology of Taste). According to Wikipedia, it is a book of his culinary reminiscences and reflections on the craft and science of cookery and the art of eating. Incidentally, the cheese Brillat-Savarin is named after him. I am a foodie and I have written quite a few works whose subjects are food related. My magnum food opus is Apicus de re Coquinaria (2023). So, it is inevitable that I would want to do a song cycle with texts excerpted from Goût. I. Nombre des Sens II. Des spécialités - bon bouillon III. Des Truffes IV. Du plaisirs de la table V. Bouquet - Gastéréa VI. Recette de la fondue VII. Variétés - Oh bonheur inespéré! VIII. Envoi aux gastronomes des deux mondes.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1330377 By The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. By Jeremy Finer and Shane MacGowan. Arranged by Mario Stallbaumer. Celtic,Christmas,Irish,Pop. Score. 7 pages. Mario Stallbaumer #918246. Published by Mario Stallbaumer (A0.1330377). With this sheet music, you can play Fairytale of New York by the Pogues on the piano! It's an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement of the famous Christmas song.Written by Jem Finer and Shane MacGowan, Fairytale of New York is a beautiful Irish folk ballad. The Pogues recorded it together with Kirsty MacColl, and included it on their 1988 album If I Should Fall from Grace with God.Released as a single in November 1987, Fairytale of New York became one of the most popular Christmas songs in the UK and is even considered the best Christmas song of all time. It's certainly not your typical feel-good Christmas song - it covers issues like alcoholism and drug abuse, wrecked dreams, and comes with quite a few slurs and swear words. At the same time, it's also a song with an honest message of love and hope, and it might just be what one needs to hear during the Christmas season. In any case, it's a wonderful song to play on the piano. Merry Christmas!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.584635 Composed by Peter Green. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary. Score. 12 pages. Jeff Tincher #5991775. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.584635). This is the first single from the original Fleetwood Mac lineup that made it up the charts. Before the made it as a pop band, the original group was a blues band. In the original key from their Then Play On, this was a double A-side single. I fell in love with this song when I first heard it for it's style that was quite unusual for the time. It wasn't on the original release of the album. But when it became a big hit, they replaced When You Say with this song. Duration = 9:36. A song about children's curiosity. Have ever asked yourself why trees are green? Why do we hear sound? What could possibly answer these questions? Leave it all to SCIENCE! That's how we'll know!  Excellent song to be used in the PYP's Unit of Inquiry: How the world works. Or even if you just have a Science Unit you want to give it a little more colour (I know, Science is colourful enough, but singing about it can be quite fun!)  Sing this song with your children, and students and leave your comments here! Did you find your answers? Or or you have more questions than before???

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.930208 Composed by John Newell. Sacred. Score. 8 pages. Abierto Music #6596371. Published by Abierto Music (A0.930208). A reflective setting for high voice and piano of the lovely anonymous text often called the Prayer of Saint Francis. There is, however, no evidence that St. Francis of Assisi wrote it. Its first appearance was in a spiritual magazine called La Clochette (The Little Bell), published in Paris in 1912. The prayer became well known and associated with the saint in the years following; the first printed English version appeared in a Quaker magazine in 1927. In this setting I took the liberty of adding two words (to ourselves) to the prayer, towards the end: ... for it is in dying to ourselves that we are born to eternal life. They fit quite naturally into the flow of the music and, I believe, are certainly in keeping with the teachings of St. Francis. For more information about John's work visit www.johnnewellmusic.com.
