Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818251 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple. Children,Instructional. Score. 13 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #3560505. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818251). You Canā€™t Get Even ā™« Original song by Stephen R Dalrymple ā™« (ā€˜Songs That Teachā€™ collection) ā™« [teaches conflict resolution strategies] ā™« As a playground attendant in a K-8 school, there were hundreds of times when children approached me to report a problem with another child. I would always make the 2 children to speak to each other instead of tell me what happened. If I only listened to one or the other, I seldom heard the truth (or the whole truth.) Many of the arguments started, not on the playground, but 2 hours, or 2 days, or 2 weeks before the incident. It is never possible to actually get even, since none of us can gauge the physical or emotional pain the other person feels, plus conflicts seldom start and are immediately finished. Since I had almost every student in the school attend my general music classes, I wrote a song to address the problem. ā™« music Ā© 2013 (copyright registered in 'Songs that Teachā€™ collection) ā™« recording ā„— 2021 Stephen R Dalrymple ā™« presentation Ā© 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple ā™« sequenced by the composer ā™« This .pdf file includes 4 files: 1) Letter size lead sheet, 2) letter size piano score, 3) Small page lead sheet for performing from a 10 inch tablet, 4) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.983990 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Christian,Pop. Score. 7 pages. Boothe Publishing #4360789. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.983990). 1st Kings 19: Verses 11 & 12When Elijah the Prophet of God killed all the false prophets of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, the Queen promised to kill him by sundown the next day. He fled for his life and ran for 40 days and 40 nights all the way to Mount Horeb, the mount of God. When he arrived, the Lord asked him what he was doing there. When he explained it to the Lord, the Lord told him to go stand out upon the mountain before Him. And behold the Lord passed by and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; But the Lord was not in the wind: And after the wind an earthquake; But the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; But the Lord was not in the fire: And after the fire a still small voice. God wasn't in the mighty wind. God wasn't in the terrible earthquake. God wasn't in the fire. God was the still small voice. That is where I can find Him still. That is what makes me responsible for my actions. I have the still small voice telling me what is right and what is wrong. It is called, the light of Christ. It is revelation from God. I can try to drown it out and pretend I don't hear it. However, pretending doesn't alter the fact that God's still small voice is always there for those who will listen.

Voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8492-28E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 6 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-28E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-28E). French.Gouvy was known for writing some of the most beautiful melodies of the Romantic period. His style is a combination of German forms and an early French romantic harmonic structure. His writing for the piano in the songs is totally unified in mood and description with the voice, just as the piano is in Schubertā€™s songs. The equal partnership of the vocal line and piano interact closely to bring the poetry vividly into life with unimaginable artistic heights and unbridled passion. This volume includes Gouvy songs set to 18 poems of Philippe Desportes (1546ā€“1606), and 18 poems of Moritz Hartmann (1821ā€“1872). The elements of Romantic love poetry, such as enchanting love and its pain, and the personifying of nature, are fluently described with a great sensitivity in both voice and piano. Gouvyā€™s melody stir up the imagination because of his special treatment of words through a distinguishable and melodious vocal line, and his story telling and poetic treatment and development of the piano accompaniment. His compositional artistry places him in the upper echelons of art-song composers. One should note that Gouvy had a special fondness for the 16th Century poetry of La PlĆ©iade (a group of Renaissance French poets, led by PiĆØrre de Ronsard (1524ā€“1585). Desportes was truly the heir to Ronsard; however his work, when compared to that of Ronsard, is filled with greater abstraction and greater fluidity. Desportes seems to avoid any of the passionate anger that is occasionally characteristic of La PlĆ©iade. This may be an indication that Desportes lived in a less distressed time. It also seems necessary to point out that he learned much in his early career by copying and studying the earlier works of La PlĆ©iade. This has led some scholars to label him as a plagiarist, but it is important to realize that all the members of La PlĆ©iade copied from each other when they wished to learn something new, and truly understand the style of the other poets in the group. Gouvyā€™s only choice of poems from his contemporaries, were the works of Moritz Hartmann (1821ā€“1872), a good friend of Gouvyā€™s. Much of his poetry was strongly political in support of freedom of the individual. He traveled to Leipzig in 1845, but when the authorities discovered a volume of patriotic poems entitled Kelch und Schwert (Chalice and Sword), he fled to Belgium and France. It is at this time that he possibly met ThĆ©odore Gouvy. Eighteen poems of Hartmann were translated from German to French by the French poet, Adolph Larmande, of whom very little is known. Pierre Toussaint Adolphe Larmande seems to have been a rather obscure poet and musician. We know that he taught music theory at the Paris Conservatory at the same time Anton Reicha and Michele Carafa were on the faculty. We also know that in 1847 he married an English woman by the name of Marie Caroline Bradley. There are random documents, such as a Certificate of Arrival in London, England, in 1837, but there are no birth and death dates given, and that includes his obituary notice. Contents:18 Sonnets et Chansons de Desportes pour tĆ©nor ou soprano et piano, Op. 45 Six poĆ©sies allemandes de Moritz Hartmann pour baryton et piano, Op. 21 Douze poĆ©sies allemandes de Moritz Hartmann pour tĆ©nor et piano, Op. 26 (PoĆ©sies franƧaises dā€™Adolphe Larmande).

Music, arranging and production by Jon Burr The Lyric:Everything was fine, not so very long ago.I had a weekly paycheck, I was rolling in the dough.I had a truck, got me where I needed to go.I didnā€™t know how much I had, ā€˜til things began to blow.Everything was fine, then my tire picked up a tack. The rubber was so thin, you see, it really set me back.ā€œWhatā€™s the problem now?ā€ was all my boss would say,Gave me my last paycheck, and sent me on my wayā€¦So, here I am remembering, not so long ago,I had a weekly paycheck, I was rolling in the dough.I had my pick-up truck back then, had a shirt. and had a wife.I didnā€™t know how little I had because, well, that was life.Sleeping in my pick-up truck, the light began to dawn.I would go back home, before my last chance was blown.I would tell my loving folks, at last I saw the light,Ā My prospects didnā€™t look so good, my future, none too bright.Could they start me off again, with tuition and the such, andhelp me get a-brand new tire, for my raggedy olā€™ truck? If they could be so kind, as to set me on my way,Ā I would do my very best, their kindness to repayConsider the military, said my folks, sounding wisethey told me I need extra time, didnā€™t mean to criticizeMaybe they were onto something, maybe that could helpWhy, oh, why didnā€™t I think of that myself?Military lifeā€™s not easy, as I learned from the start,Ā but I came out much the better, and learned to have some heart.Well, Iā€™m that better man now, after going through all this. Finally got my life in shape, it had been so amiss.I repaid my folksā€™ advice, as I promised that I would,Became the son they hoped for, the man they knew I could. We often go to see them, and they visit the wife and me,Now theyā€™re contented grandfolks, with babies on each knee!Once upon a time, when I was really stuck,Ā I went back home to see the folks, which became a day of luck.Military service, Iā€™m glad I took it up.Life changed for me, when I stopped sleeping in that olā€™ truck.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.779670 Composed by Arthur Le Clerq. Arranged by Kim Kirkman. Broadway,Contemporary,Musical/Show,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Kim Kirkman #6697499. Published by Kim Kirkman (A0.779670). This is a wonderful old comedy song.I have put it into the key that Tessie O'Shea sings it (Ab major)I have put in the first verse that Tessie sings, plus the spoken part. I have changed some of the words of the spoken part to update them.I have then constructed a third verse from other verses that Le Clerq wrote. To sing it exactly like Tessie please repeat first verse.Words:Verse:For years a fairy queen I've bin', For years I foiled the demon king. But alas, I'm getting on, The years have flown somehow, And I feel that Fairy Snowdrop isn't wanted now. Chorus One:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty. Nobody loves a fairy when she's old. She may still have her magic power, But that is not enough, They like their bit of magic from a younger bit of fluff. When once your silver star has lost its glitter, And your tinsel looks like rust instead of gold. Your fairy days are ending when your wand has started bending. Noone loves a fairy when she's old.Spoken:T'was I who found the magic wand, I will not tell you where.T'was I who found young Tinkerbell, her head was full of airIā€™ve been a fairy of the flowers, and fairy daffodils,Iā€™ve been a fairy of the wind, and suffer from it still! In certain covered valley hills I go down to the glenBeen loved by all the children and run after by the men. Huh!Noone could touch me at me splits, me splits were all the rage,Until the night woodman left his chopper on the stage, what a mess! Verse 2:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty. Nobody loves a fairy when she's old. As far as I can see they try to push you off the map, When once your wand has withered and your wings refuse to flap. When you have lost your little fairy dimples, And the mothholes in your dress let in the cold, It seems that they would sooner listen to a blinkin' crooner, Noone loves a fai-y when she's old!
