Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1188795 By Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Leo Silva. New Age,Pop,Spiritual. Individual part. 2 pages. MP Sheet Music #788412. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.1188795). The Fool on the Hill was released by The Beatles in 1967 as part of the Magical Mystery Tour album, which also included All You Need Is Love and Penny Lane. The song was written and composed by Paul McCartney and is sung by him and John Lennon on the studio version. The song is about a solitary, eccentric character who stands and watches the activity of the people around him. He does not feel part of the activity that is taking place, since no one notices him or cares about what he says or does. Although people view him as a fool, the narrator says that he knows more than he speaks. It was well received by critics and was hailed as one of the best songs by The Beatles. The Fool on the Hill was praised for its message of acceptance of different people and for its unique music. It was recognized as a symbol of acceptance and tolerance, and is still remembered today as one of the band's most iconic songs.

Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.971795 Composed by Britt Andrew Burns. Contemporary. Individual part. 14 pages. Indie Classical Publications #41475. Published by Indie Classical Publications (A0.971795). VALOR is one of my very early compositions, yet it remains one of my favorites I have composed to this day. When writing this, I was trying to capture this sense of emotional struggle that we all face at times. The title is a metaphor for the feeling of being intimidated and overwhelmed by the difficulties we face in life, and making the choice of accepting them and trying to work through them. Often times I think people tend to shy away from their problems rather than addressing them. This work is meant to reflect those emotions when we must have some courage. Like most of my works, this is not written intentionally to indicate a specific form, but it does follow an ABA form. The performers may express some rubato throughout, as it is encouraged in this piece. Originally for Horn & Piano, this version is for the Alto Saxophone & Piano. Difficulty: grade 4 (intermediate).

Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.720831 By Adam Levine & Tony Lucca. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Leo Silva. Film/TV,Pop. Individual part. 1 pages. MP Sheet Music #329218. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.720831). Yesterday is a song composed by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon/McCartney), recorded in 1965 for the album Help!. According to Guinness World Records, Yesterday is the song with the most radio broadcasts worldwide, with more than six million broadcasts in the United States. Yesterday is also the most covered song in popular music history, with over 1,600 different interpretations. BMI claims the song was performed nearly seven million times in the 20th century. This was the first official Beatles composition recorded by just one member, Paul McCartney, accompanied by a string quartet. The composition is notably different from the other previous works of the musical group, which is why the other members did not accept that it was published as a single in the United Kingdom.

Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534370 Composed by Paul Wehage. Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Individual part. 6 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3395443. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534370). In July of 2005, Claire Deluca, a French Actress well known for her association with Marguerite Duras asked Paul Wehage to write music for a work entitled Nevers, an adaptation of the scenario and notes for the film Hiroshima Mon Amour. The work was first presented at the Marché de La Poésie at the Cinema Harlequin in Paris and formally premièred at the 10th Hommage à Marguerite Duras in the Hall of Les Roches Noires in Trouville, France on October 3, 2005. This present version is a reworking of that material and is dedicated to Claire Deluca. In Nevers, a woman tells a stranger about her love of a German soldier in occupied France, his subsequent death and finally being punished by having her head shaved during the Liberation of France. The music seeks to express the strong emotions that the woman expresses: love, erotic desire, grief and finally acceptance, but through a veil of memory which Duras sees as being constantly disappearing, almost before each moment is finished. The work should be played as if from another time, almost as if the music only existed as thought rather than sound. Although the emotions are violent, the expressive effects should always be interiorized.
