Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.546889 By Julio Iglesias. By Louis Gaste, Morris Albert, and Thomas Fundora. Arranged by Antônio S. Fernandes. Multicultural,Pop,Rock,Traditional,World. Individual part. 1 pages. Antônio S. Fernandes #156826. Published by Antônio S. Fernandes (A0.546889). Feelings is a song by the Brazilian singer Morris Albert, who also wrote the lyrics. Albert released Feelings in 1974 as a single and later included it as the title track of his 1975 debut album. The song's lyrics, recognizable by their whoa whoa whoa chorus, concern the singer's inability to forget my feelings of love. Albert's original recording of the song was very successful, performing well internationally. In mid-1975, Feelings peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the Adult Contemporary chart in the United States. In 1986, French songwriter Louis Gasté successfully sued Albert for plagiarism on the grounds that the tune was taken from Gasté's 1957 song Pour Toi; Gasté is now credited as the song's co-author. Morris Albert - Feelings (Sheet Music) Feelings (em português: sentimentos) é uma canção gravada pelo músico brasileiro Morris Albert, lançada em junho de 1974 no álbum After We've Left Each Other. #MorrisAlbert #Feelings #AltoSax.

Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.726449 Composed by Kenneth Baird. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Individual part. 10 pages. Kenneth Baird Music #6440745. Published by Kenneth Baird Music (A0.726449). The Adventurer: Suite for Eb Alto Saxophone and Piano, by Kenneth Baird, is a short (3:40) three-movement work in a bold contemporary style. The first movement is a joyful allegro that is filled with syncopation, harmonic surprises, and echoes of Gershwin and Bernstein. The second movement is an adagio that begins peacefully, adds a little more motion with a pentatonic melody, and then returns to a peaceful mood, concluding with a harmonic question. The suite then concludes with a lively and spirited dance-like allegro that alternates between 3/4 and 6/8, and may, for some, invoke images of a pirate-like nautical adventure, while also sounding somewhat like a Latin American dance tune. Requiring good technical agility and security with syncopated rhythms, the Adventurer: Suite for Eb Alto Saxophone is a refreshing change from the standard contest repertoire written for this intermediate level and will be a delight both for the performers (soloist and accompanist) and for the listener. An alternative, less technically challenging ending is provided for less-advanced performers. The composer notes that although the Adventurer was originally composed for trumpet, he feels it works equally well on the alto saxophone and that the saxophone version should not be construed as a lesser version than the original trumpet version. Great for performances at solo contests/competitions as well as at recitals. .

Alto Saxophone Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.755140 Composed by Sy Brandon. 20th Century,Contemporary,Multicultural,World. Individual part. 20 pages. Sy Brandon #3406013. Published by Sy Brandon (A0.755140). A free mp3 file of the pre-recorded sounds for this composition is available at https://www.dropbox.com/s/pkqxbtnymb6iknu/lan_na_thai_prs.mp3?dl=0 Lan Na Thai was composed during 2008 at the request of Dr. Andy Wen for a performance at the 2009 World Saxophone Congress in Bangkok, Thailand. The composition is in three movements with each titled after a different period in Thailand history. The piece is loosely programmatic as it tries to capture the general mood of each era, rather than specific events. I. Sukhothai (The Dawn of Happiness) This movement reflects the ideal state, a land of plenty, and is peaceful. II. Ayutthaya This movement reflects a period of wealth that is characterized by wars with Burma. III. The Chakri Dynasty This movement reflects the more hectic pace of modern society where Thailand moves from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. Folk music of Thailand is built on a seven-note scale of equal intervals. The fourth and seventh notes of this scale are often used only for ornamental purposes. In order to approximate this scale, a pentatonic scale is used as it is like a major scale with the fourth and seventh tones removed. The pre-recorded sounds approximate some of the instruments traditionally used in Thai folk music.
