This choral song cycle consists of settings of the four main Marian antiphons used in the traditional Latin liturgy: Ave, Regina coelorum; Regina Coeli; Alma Redemptoris Mater; and Salve Regina. The music makes use of much expressive dissonance but within the limits of a purely diatonic collection of pitches. The antiphons are presented here in the order in which they would be sung during the church year. If performed as a group in a concert setting they may be sung in this order or the order may be changed for musical reasons. They may also be performed individually for liturgical or concert use.

And, whilst their timbral palette is more limited than the instrumentation Disturbed could draw on, they have the power of harmony to add colour and impact.The arrangement is built around two main harmonic ideas: juxtaposing minor chords and key areas a third apart, and the dissonance of the melodic major 2nd and minor 3rd rubbing up against each other. The four themes are then masterfully woven together in counterpoint in the last stretch of the arrangement. The tenors have the final post whilst the leads finish their theme and the baritones noodle around them, concluding with a very jazzy, very christmassy baritone solo to polish the arrangement off. Wood (A0.996572). Beginning in a childlike, sing-song style to set up the make-believe theme, this arrangement is full of beautiful chords and my most-often signature, a modulation. Though I hear this as a quartet arrangement, I think it can be used as a Chorus arrangement.  I recommend that in the Intro, in the Bari part, where they have the repeated notes and the one note that goes up a third, keep the upper note at the same mental level as the repeated notes, so there's not a note note note note SKIP, rather note note note note skip. I know directors know that, but, I'm a control freak and love to develop the beauty of music. ALSO, at mm 11 and 19, I give the low note to the Basses, for smooth flow of voices. This is a fun piece and I hope you will try it.
