Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1194181 By Dave Froman. By Dave Froman. Chamber,Contemporary. Octavo. 19 pages. Dave Froman #793601. Published by Dave Froman (A0.1194181). 2022. SSAA, piano, flute and bassoon / 6 minI was taken in by the story in the poem “Tree-Burial†by William Cullen Bryant, a 19th century American romantic poet - about a Native American ritual of burying a child high among the trees rather than in the ground. This ritual and the words spoken seem a powerful balm in the face of grief and sadness. The text reflects the mother’s tenderness to the child - sorrowful but loving and beautiful. I found the poem in a collection of “Poems About Trees,†celebrating sacred groves, wild woodlands, and bountiful orchards, paying lyrical tribute to these majestic beings with whom we share the earth.Composed for women’s voices, the flute and bassoon add a doleful fullness to this piece. My composition borrows from the longer poem. Also available in SSA & piano, flute, oboe/clarinet and bassoon.Performed here by the Rocky Mountain Chamber Choir - Virtual Singers. If you would like to premiere this piece, please reach out to davefroman@gmail.com.

SSAA Chorus,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1491362 By The Proclaimers. By Charles Stobo Reid and Craig Morris Reid. Arranged by Liz Garnett. 21st Century,A Cappella,Barbershop,Folk. Barbershop Quartet. 6 pages. Liz Garnett #1068100. Published by Liz Garnett (A0.1491362). This ballad from The Prolcaimers 11th studio album, Angry Cyclist is a poignant celebration of their home city. Its melody and lyrics both carry the wistfulness of responding to a place that is deeply loved, whilst fully aware of its flaws. The arrangement respects the simplicity of expression of the original, with a largely homophonic and mostly diatonic setting, with just a few moments of chromaticism or diatonic dissonance to point up the sense of nostalgia, and vocal lines that you can pour your heart into.Vocal Ranges:Tenor: E4 - E5Lead: C#3 - D5Bari: B3 - B4Bass: E3 - A4N.B. This arrangement is notated in treble and bass alta (i.e. sounding one octave higher than written) clefs. The price includes permission to make four copies (one for each part)www.HelpingYouHarmonise.com

Published by Kestutis Daugirdas (A0.1489046). Introduce your choir to Baltic folk music with this vibrant and accessible piece, based on an ancient Lithuanian part-song. This award-winning piece was performed at the 2024 Lithuanian Song Festival by the combined choir of 11,000 singers, and is widely known and loved by treble choirs throughout Lithuania. Repetitive text and frequent use of vocables (dautuvo, ratilio) make the Lithuanian language accessible to non-native speakers, and the intuitive, energetic part-writing and artful piano accompaniment will make this piece a joy to learn and perform for your ensemble. Note: This abridged, festival edition is thoughtfully shortened from the original composition, and ends on a strong, impressive high note. The extended version is also available. Take your audience on a unique Baltic choral adventure!
