Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790920 Composed by Chandra Grover, Felixstowe Harmonies. Pop. Octavo. 11 pages. Chandra Grover #5709771. Published by Chandra Grover (A0.790920). Across the Borders - in memory of those who lost their lives to Covid-19   Across the Borders is an original song by singers of Felixstowe Harmonies and their Musical Director, Chandra Grover. The project was inspired by the thoughts and feelings of the singers who collaborated on the lyrics while in isolation during the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020. Their Musical Director set these lyrics to music. The verses are ballad style with lyrics reflecting the feelings of loneliness, heartache and of those we knew. The chorus has a strong and uplifting message of solidarity, of friends uniting and how singing lifts the hearts across the borders of our world.

Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774784 By The Manhattan Transfer. By Michel Paul Fugain and Wayne Shanklin. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. A Cappella. Octavo. 5 pages. Sandra Milliken #6656859. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774784). Chanson d'Amour (sometimes referred to as The Ra-Da-Da-Da-Da Song) is a popular piece written by the American singer, songwriter and producer, Wayne Shanklin. In 1958 Shanklin had suggested the song to a California lounge circuit duo Art and Dotty Todd. They liked the song and produced a demo recording, which was later released as a single by Era Records. Then, almost 20 years later, in 1976, the vocal jazz quartet The Manhattan Transfer came across a demo on cassette and decided to record a remake of Chanson d'Amour for their Coming Out album. The track featured Janis Siegel singing lead with an Edith Piaf sound.Whilst overlooked in the United States in its single release, Manhattan Transfer's version became a hit across Europe in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Norway and Switzerland. In the English-speaking world it was a chart topper in the UK and Ireland as well as in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The song had become Manhattan Transfer's most widespread international success. This arrangement is available in six choral versions – SA, SSA, SSAA, SSATB with piano and SSAA, SSATB a cappella

Choral Choir,Choral (SSAA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1290533 Composed by Amelia Wellers. Arranged by Amelia Wellers. 21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary,Folk,New Age. 4 pages. Awelia Music #881249. Published by Awelia Music (A0.1290533). From the arranger: I first came across this traditional English folk ballad on the podcast mini-series “Dolly Parton’s Americaâ€. Dolly’s version was fast-based and up-beat, but the melody struck me as distant yet clear, mournful yet timeless. When I could not find a version that let the voice further explore these qualities, I made my own. The first exists on my record (WALLFLOWER by Aerhart), the second as a live solo act accompanied by a Yamaha Reface CS Synth, and the third as a Silver Dagger choral arrangement, made with and for the Young New Yorker's Chorus Treble Ensemble. The original Silver Dagger tune is a haunting memory in its spirit as much as its history (its many possible origins trace back to the early 1800s). To this day, we wonder whether it’s love, fear or both that sway our overprotected heroine’s decision to “sleep alone all of my life.†Despite her careful consideration, the melody never grants the finality of her decision. This arrangement holds this dissonance within a meditative space - a small moment of stillness in which to let all the big thoughts and emotions come and go. We begin with the memory of the melody, gather momentum and clarity in its pulsing visceral storytelling, then release it, unresolved yet somehow changed.
