I have always been facinated with musical fusion, but at the time of writing this piece, I came to notice a glaring underutilization of Americana folk songs in other genres. I was especially enamored with the soundtrack from the original Ghost in the Shell where I heard this kind of fusion give an otherworldly feel to the film. For these reasons and others, I decided to blend Amazing Grace with Bulgarian Choir-like harmonies.
