Feira de Mangaio foi composto em Nova Iorque. E mais, para os puristas ficarem horrorizados, a letra da canção de Glorinha Gadelha foi finalizada num McDonald's da Sétima Avenida. “Feira de Mangaio� was initially recorded by Sivuca himself, later incorporated into Clara Nunes' repertoire in the 1979 LP “Esperança�. This was one of the singer's greatest hits. Feira de Mangaio was composed in New York. What's more, to the horror of purists, the lyrics to Glorinha Gadelha's song were finished at a McDonald's on Seventh Avenue.

“O xote das Meninas� is a xote by Luiz Gonzaga and Zé Dantas, originally recorded on February 5, 1953, becoming one of the most popular pieces in their repertoire. Gonzaga re-recorded it six years later, for his LP “Meus Sucessos com Zé Dantas� and an instrumental version, in 1972, for the LP “São-João Quente�. According to Zé Dantas: His verses begin by singing the mandacaru, a cactus that does not depend on the rain to bloom, a phenomenon that, when it happens in the dry season, makes the caboclo believe that the thunderstorm is approaching. This superstition led us to establish a simile between the mandacaru flower, a prodromal sign of the rain that arrives giving the earth fecundity, and the girl who, getting sick of the doll, becomes a woman.
