A play on words, the subtitle represents an intentional misinterpretation of Stravinsky's title The Rite of Spring, meaning The Right of Spring (The Right of Spring, The Wrong of Winter.) The piece is, however, anything but humorous; it is, in fact, rather doleful. The opening motive of Stravinsky's piece is transformed to create a piece that hints at a warm springtime New England day turning into a dreadful wintery one.
