This was composed for a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare in 1993. It is designed to be performed onstage, during the theatrical production, with one singer per part. The bells and the hand drum can be performed on stage or off stage, as desired. This can also be performed as a choral arrangement with more than one singer per part. If done in that arrangement, then, the verses should be sung as solos.
