Most existing publications of voice and piano arrangement of Sposa son disprezzata date back to the version (far enough from the original), first published in the 1880s. On the contrary, the proposed publication has been realized and arranged by Sergei Pichugin for voice and piano directly from the score manuscript of the opera. Vivaldi wrote this oratorio for the ensemble (the orchestra and chorus) of the Ospedale della Pietà. The interesting fact that all characters (male and female), choruses line (originally written in SATB – mixed chorus range) and orchestral lines were sung and played by women.

This arrangement is written for female ensemble (from SATB voices range (G2 – E flat 5) to voices SSA range (D4 – G5 for G minor, and C4 – F5 for F minor key version)), accompanied by keyboard instrument.
