SAB with piano accompaniment.  From The Big American Winter Holiday Musical Spectacular! - The Quarantine Album.  (@BAWHMS)  This spoken-word poem with backup ooh vocals is a parody of the classic Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore.  This version tells the story of a couple inundated by family for the holidays and the agonies that come along with it.  Great for narrators and choirs looking for an almost-nostalgic amusing holiday chart to round out their concerts.

Before I go by Guy Sebastian is an arrangement for Women's Choir (SSA) with piano accompaniment. The song has a mellow gospel sound. Notes are not very high, which makes it very comfortable to sing.

In order to expose my small church choir to the joys of a cappella singing, I wrote this SAB arrangement with parts that are very singable and easy to learn. The first verse is in octaves/unison to allow the performers to get a confident start before breaking into three parts in the refrain. Verse two features the baritones carrying the melody, accompanied by gentle harmony in the other two parts. The sopranos have the tune in the third verse, while the altos and baritones echo them with an underlying harmonized canon. The final verse has a simple soprano descant over the melody in the lower voices. After a strong build in the final refrain, the piece ends gently. This arrangement is a reachable challenge for a small a cappella choir.

In 1992 Paul McCartney collaborated with Carl David on composing a lengthy classical piece called The Liverpool Oratorio. Perhaps the best-known portion of the 90-minute piece is the lyrical chorus “Save the Child.� This beautiful SAB arrangement features a nice soprano solo. It asks the question: “Do we live in a world with an uncertain future where a man is unsure of his fate? Will we come to our senses, be fair to each other? Can we turn it around before it's too late?� The question is answered: “We have come to our senses. We are part of each other and we'll carry the day for we must save the child.�.

A new and different rendition of a very old and beloved christian hymn. After an instrumental introduction, based on the refrain from the original hymn by Robert Lowry (1864), the newly composed verses begin with a musical theme meant to represent flowing water in a rippling river or stream. The original lyrics are adapted for all five verses and the refrain. The first verse is followed by the refrain, adapted from the original hymn. After that the refrain follows verses 3 and 5. The song ends on the final refrain, as the tempo slows and the flowing water theme ends. The vocals start out unison, but quickly divide out to SAB parts, all in a comfortable range. The melody in the verses shifts from soprano to alto, just before it gets too low for some sopranos. However altos or baritones could probably sing the melody, as the highest notes are likely still contained within their upper range. Thus the piece could be performed as a solo for altos or baritones. Though the melody shifts, a bit, from soprano to alto, it is easily heard in continuity. Thus, intuitively, the audience, or congregation, will clearly hear the melody, and be easily able to sing along. The score provided here, contains the SAB parts and piano (with chord symbols). As you listen to the example provided, you will hear a string trio playing in the accompaniment, along with the piano. The violin, viola and violoncello adds a nice dimension to the accompaniment sound. An accompaniment track is also available under item no. S0.870603.
