Drawn To The Rhythm is by Canadian singer/songwriter, Sarah McLachlan, who has seen success since the 1980s. This song was written in 1992, the third single from her album “Solaceâ€, and reached #1 on the RPM Cancon chart. The idea of “being drawn to the rhythm of the sea†is something that appeals to many, pulling people away from the craziness of life to the simplicity of nature. 

This arrangement is for an SAB of an intermediate standard. The recording is by the combined choirs of the United Singers (Hornchurch) and the New Essex Choir (Barkingside) accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra in 2023.

Draw Nigh and Take the Body of the Lord is a Communion anthem with words taken from a collection of chants, hymns, and anthems compiled at Bangor (Ireland) Abbey in the late 7th century, translated by the Anglican priest, scholar, and hymnodist John Mason Neale (1818-1866). The tune accompanying the text in this arrangement is Song 46, one of many melodies written by the English composer Orlando Gibbons (1583-1625) for use with The Hymnes and Songs of the Church, published in England in 1623.
