Originally written for an international conference on the theme of 'Women and the Canon', My Voice is a melodic polyphonic work for female voices exploring the themes of gender, voice and authority. The song is founded on a recurring musical theme that builds in strength and visibility as the work progresses. The work is written in three parts (SSA) with divisi scoring within each part and short solo lines. It can be performed by an ensemble of six voices or by a larger female chorus.

It is a delightfully conceived work which, when it was performed in December 2018, was received by audience extremely well.  The work is fairly short and was designed for the end of the song set. .

Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix is my favourite opera aria. It's dramatic, romantic, very intens and gentle at the same time, full of passione. It is sung by Delilah in act 2 as she attempts to seduce Samson into revealling the secret of his strength. Originally is written for mezzosoprano, and I kept the original key in this arrangement for SSA, female ensemble (choir or trio), with piano accompaniment and clarinet, optional in 2nd verse. Piano part is simplified according to original. The melody in vocal parts and piano is the same in both verses (except last few bars).
