The melody of this song written for the Disney film Cinderella (1950) was inspired by Liszt's Transcendental Study No. 9. It's a wistful, tender melody which matches the sentiment of the words, and in the film Cinderalla encourages her animal friends to never stop dreaming or believing in a brighter future. Other Disney songs also echo this sentiment, such as When You Wish Upon A Star from Pinnochio, which was released a decade earlier. This arrangement is in 3-parts with a simple piano accompaniment.
