Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1273747 By Cilla Black. By Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. Arranged by Julie Settle. Pop,Standards,Wedding. Octavo. 5 pages. Julie Settle #865873. Published by Julie Settle (A0.1273747). SSA + piano accompaniment.  For ladies' groups who would like to sing some Cilla Black!Sing this light and breathy to give the feeling of anticipation.  In the middle section the Altos have the tune. After Cilla Black passed away, I couldn’t find any choral arrangements of her songs.  Wanting to have a Cilla Black number in our repertoire, I created this arrangement for the ladies I sing with.  Something Tells Me has become such a firm favourite that I have been encouraged to publish my first arrangement to share with other ladies’ groups who would like to sing a Cilla Black number.

Choral Choir,Choral (SSA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1287383 Composed by Sebastián Iradier. Arranged by Julie Settle and Sally Bauer. 19th Century,Latin,Multicultural,Romantic Period,Standards,World. 4 pages. Julie Settle #878401. Published by Julie Settle (A0.1287383). Probably the world’s most well-known song in the habanera style arranged for SSA + piano.‘La Paloma’ was written in the early 1860s by the Spanish Basque composer Sebastián Iradier, after a visit to Cuba.  Particularly popular in the Spanish speaking world, especially Mexico, ‘La Paloma’ has also been written and recorded in various other languages over the years.  (You may know the English version ‘No More’ sung by Elvis Presley in his film Blue Hawaii.)  I have read that along with ‘Yesterday’ by The Beatles, it is one of the most recorded songs in the history of music, certainly the most recorded Spanish song.Iradier’s original Spanish lyrics are written in four verses from the point of view of a sailor leaving Havana and parting from his sweetheart, dreaming of their wedding day and life together, and asking her to cherish his spirit if it returns to her window as a dove.  This SSA version has English text which tells the story in two verses. The piano accompaniment is a simple habanera style arrangement which allows the SSA harmonies to shine through.
