This piece is dedicated to my great-aunt, Bessie Murdock. It reminds me of her gentle soul and nearness to God in all parts of her life. 

This choral selection is an arrangement of the Tallis Canon by Thomas Tallis. This song includes a section featuring the baritones and then the women’s voices. The voices sing in parts and later in a round. You will recognize the words from the doxology that are included in verse four. The fifth and final verse is new and concludes this selection. I hope you’ll enjoy having your choir sing “All Praise To You, My God, This Night�.

This arrangement for SAB choir was written for my church choir at First Presbyterian Church of Spruce Pine in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. We needed something simpler but with a beautiful accompaniment to use for an anthem during worship services. The flute adds a harmonic line and depth to the piece. I hope your choir enjoys singing this version of “For The Beauty Of The Earth”.
