Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882280 Arranged by A. Douglas Biggs. Christian,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 9 pages. Adrian D Biggs #6620065. Published by Adrian D Biggs (A0.882280). This arrangement of Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming takes a fresh look at the beloved 16th century Marian hymn. The familiar melody is now restructured into the gently asymmetrical 3+2+2 rhythm of a 7/8 meter. The music flows out, with that slight asymmetry giving an attractive lilt to the well-known tune. As with the rhythmic structure, the harmony is also reconsidered. Sonorities from related tonalities appear, providing new colors to enhance the well-known theme. The choral parts are attractive and singable, with a little alto divisi and each part having a turn at the melody. Suitable for an intermediate to intermediate/advanced choir. Since this is a digital realization, a Youtube link is provided to allow for view of the lyric along with music playback.

Choral Choir,Choral (SAB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1137502 Composed by 15th Century French Hymn. Arranged by Sandy McIntire. Advent,Christmas,Early Music,Multicultural,Sacred,World. 9 pages. Sandy McIntire #737707. Published by Sandy McIntire (A0.1137502). O Come, O Come, Emmanuel (Veni, Veni, Emmanuel) is a Christian hymn for Advent and Christmas. This hymn has its origins over 1,200 years ago in monastic life in the 8th or 9th century. The Latin metrical form of the hymn was composed as early as the 12th century. The 1851 translation of the Latin lyrics by John Mason Neale in this arrangement continues to be used the most. This three-part arrangement (soprano, alto, tenor) with a piano accompaniment is appropriate for EASY INTERMEDIATE skill levels and above. The ranges are: Soprano (D to G), Alto (A to C) and Tenor (D to D). A separate sheet with lyrics for voices only is included with the score.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042625 Composed by Todd Marchand. Sacred. Octavo. 7 pages. Con Spirito Music #647400. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1042625). Tobias Clausnitzer (1619-1684) was a German Lutheran pastor and writer of theological treatises, sermons, and hymns. His best-known hymn, perhaps, is Liebster Jesu wir sind bier, translated to English and published as Blessed Jesus, at thy word by the English hymn-writer and educator Catherine Winkworth (1827-1878) in her Lyra Germanica — Hymns for the Sundays and Chief Festivals of the Christian Year, translated from the German (1858), and repeated in her Chorale Book for England (1863). Winkworth was also translator for Clausnitzer's Wir glauben all an einen Gott, Yater, Sohn und heilgen Geist (We all believe in one true God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost), a metrical paraphrase of the Apostles Creed designated for Trinity Sunday in the Culmbach-Bayreuth Gesang-Buch (1668). Winkworth also included this in her Chorale Book for England. This new musical setting, mostly in unison and briefly expanding to three-part harmony at the peak of each verse, is very singable by small and developing choirs composed of soprano, alto, and baritone/bass voices. The accompaniment, with sustained tones, is best realized on organ. The opening phrase, We all believe in one true God, may be sung by a solo male voice, similar to the opening intonation of a chanted canticle or psalm. Dynamic contrasts (crescendi and decrescendi) throughout follow the rising and falling of the melodic line and should be carefully observed. ©Copyright 2022 Todd Marchand / ConSpiritoMusic. Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.871076 Composed by Paul Jones. Arranged by Paul S. Jones. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 4 pages. Paul S. Jones #3559215. Published by Paul S. Jones (A0.871076). This setting of Psalm 1 for women's voices uses the metrical text from The Psalter, 1912, and the tune {Dumferline} from the Scottish Psalter of 1615. Arranged by stanzas in unison, SA, solo, SSA, and unison with descant, the three-part texture appears for just one stanza. An excellent piece for a women's chorus for church or a Christian college/university, but could also be sung by a very good treble or children's choir. The organ accompaniment is written in two staves and could easily be adapted for piano or keyboard. About 3 1/2 minutes in length.
