Hymns of Praise is designed to allow for maximum flexibility of use. The uses range from solo instrument with piano (or CD) to full orchestra. Be Praised My Lord by Teresa Cobarrubia Yoder is a prayerful and musical expression to Pope Francis’ encyclical on ecology, Laudato Si:  On Care for our Common Home (June 18, 2015).  The lyrics, derived from the encyclical’s title, are from St. Francis of Assisi’s 13 c. poem and prayer, Canticle of the Creatures/Sun - God is praised for all creation.

Performance Notes:  In addition, you may add an optional accompaniment with Orff instruments playing the tonic and fifth.

I'll bid my heart be still is a mostly forgotten gem of an old Scottish melody, with tragic lyrics about love lost in battle by Thomas Pringle.  Arranged for women's voices, either choir or a trio.  The parts are not overly difficult but will require (/help development of) good breath control and holding pitch on some expressive close chord clusters.
