It is fun and catchy and features a Vocal Percussion part (Beatboxing).VOCAL LAYOUT:The melody, or lead line, is divided amongst the vocal parts to give variety. The B.G (background) parts replicate the instrumental accompaniment of the original track, filling out the arrangement and creating the contemporary texture that is at the heart of Pop A Cappella. The Vocal Percussion (Beatboxing) should be a feature, and they provide the arrangement with much of the groove and vibe it needs.The dynamics give an indication which vocal parts should be strongest at any given moment, but changes may need to be made depending on the number / balance of singers, and the strengths of each vocal section. It is combined here with Onward Christian Soldiers, the well-known 19th-century  hymn with lyrics by S. Baring-Gould and music by Arthur Sullivan. These inspiring hymns are combined here in a medley for Intermediate SAB (soprano, alto, baritone) choir with a piano accompaniment. The result is a rousing march sure to be a foot-tapping pleaser that can include the congregation on the final chorus.

Use: Christmas services. Great for choirs low on male voices. Performance: I wrote this piece as the finale to The Father Sent the Son, a cantata I wrote for one of my church choirs. The last theme in this piece is a reprise of the title music. I was thinking of the shepherds running to tell their neighbors what they had seen that wonderful night in Bethlehem. Avoid singing with a heavy tone. There should be buoyancy in the tone and in the diction. The tempo is fast a mm140, but it works if you pianist can handle it. I have done it at mm132 on more than occasion for a piano player's sake. It still worked okay, but if you can manage 140,do it.
