This is one of my very favorite Christmas songs. When I first heard it, I knew I

wanted my high school choir to perform it. After searching in vain for an arrangement, 

I wrote my own. Don't be fooled by its origin on the television special Christmas 

Eve on Sesame Street - it's not just for the little ones; over the years I've found it to be

appealing to people of all ages. Along with the piano accompaniment, I've included 

electric bass and guitar parts which will complement True Blue Miracle's character, 

effectiveness and fun. I'm still convinced it could become a holiday standard.

Alleluia is a choral arrangement of a famous melody from the third movement of one of Mozart's best-known works, the motet Exsultate, jubilate (K. 165). The third movement was originally scored in F Major for soprano and an orchestra comprised of two oboes, two horns, strings, continuo and organ. The editor has reduced this orchestration for keyboard and has added modern clefs as well as tempo and dynamic indications where appropriate. The source for this edition is W. A. Mozarts Samtliche Werke, Series 3/2, publlished by Breitkopf and Hartel (1876-1905).
