Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.953868

Composed by Francis Osentowski. Arranged by Music by Francis Osentowski, DMA, Lyrics by Edward Garcia. Contemporary. Octavo. 7 pages. Francis Osentowski #6329559. Published by Francis Osentowski (A0.953868).

Dreams of Winter, SSA  and Keyboard  is a setting of a delicate poem by Edward Garcia. It was published by Hal Leonard Co. and sold several thousand copies world wide. My new arrangement moves the pitch up a step and fills out the piano part with thicker updated harmonies. Ranges are limited with A for Altos  and E for sopranos. . The poetic text is a description of a Silent Snowfall and is perfect for public school and any winter concert performance. Ex. Day dreams of snowfall on this silver day. Tumbling down in their snow soft way. Listen! Listen sounds of the silent snow...

Composed by Anon / Daniel Steenson. Arranged by Daniel Steenson. Classical,Instructional. Octavo. 1 pages. Daniel Steenson #5310013. Published by Daniel Steenson (A0.905646).

Beginning solfege singers! As you probably know, not all melodies lie between lower Do and higher Do. Many melodies orbit around their key note, Do. Relatively speaking, these melodies travel between a collection of pitches extending from lower Sol to upper Sol (Ex: Amazing Grace, Happy Birthday, the familiar theme from Brahms Symphony No. 1, 4th movement). Learning to hear and navigate these basic Sol-to-Sol tonal relationships is a vital step for students learning to sight-sing using the solfege system. Dona Nobis Pacem is a lovely melody that choirs enjoy singing in Latin as a warm-up for unified vowel formation, tonal focus and interdependent part-singing. You can find it online with the Latin text.  https://hymnary.org/text/dona_nobis_pacem_canon   Here is a version to link solfege syllables and reading skills for SAB singers. Sing using solfege hand symbols. Warm-up using my Sol-to-Sol exercise.

Beginning solfege singers! As you probably know, not all melodies lie between lower Do and higher Do. Many melodies orbit around their key note, Do. Learning to hear and navigate these basic Sol-to-Sol tonal relationships is a vital step for students learning to sight-sing using the solfege system. Here is a warm-up exercise of a Sol-to-Sol melody traversing keys having one to three sharps or flats. There are several typical Re-Ti-Do cadential gestures and a few simple skips. This exercise reviews basic patterns to build fluency in beginners. Sing using solfege hand symbols. After this, sing my Dona Solbis Facem using solfege/hand symbols followed by Dona Nobis Pacem in Latin.
