Learning to hear and navigate these basic Sol-to-Sol tonal relationships is a vital step for students learning to sight-sing using the solfege system. Dona Nobis Pacem is a lovely melody that choirs enjoy singing in Latin as a warm-up for unified vowel formation, tonal focus and interdependent part-singing. Here is a warm-up exercise of a Sol-to-Sol melody traversing keys having one to three sharps or flats. There are several typical Re-Ti-Do cadential gestures and a few simple skips.
