A musical setting of William Blake's 'Tyger' for soloist and mixed voices, with piano accompaniment.

I have divided the 3 part harmony into higher, mid, and lower voices.  This could be a combination of male/female/boys/girsl depending on the group you are with.

I chose Rap style for the verses, as it is a popular genre with my primary school children, but the song could work equally with an adult ensemble.  You could choose to read the verses more traditionally of course then sing the choruses. One person could read all of the verses, or this could be split between several soloists.

The backing track I have created is also available as a separate download on the site, or you could play the piano part provided as a backing.

The Reproaches are traditionally sung at the Good Friday service, remembering the suffering of Jesus at the hands of the people. This setting has simple, yet powerful harmony, capturing the anguish of the words. The psalmtone has an elaborate cadence, accentuating the words.

A New fun and approachable melody for the traditional words by Nahum Tate. This time the music has a with a generally rhythmical, intense, energized, and independent piano accompaniment.

The music is filled with strong melodic material which moves from voice to voice. At times it will be sung just by the men or just by the women, while at other times it is sung by a full choir in octaves, or 2 and 4 part harmonies.

The piece utilizes traditional notation and is great for concerts and recitals during the Christmas Season.

A beautiful contemporary Christmas Mass for SSA plus Solo Soprano and Piano.  Written in British Contemporary style mixing the traditional Christmas Liturgy with English text this Mass starts with a low key Kyrie, before moving through an uplifting Gloria, to a slower Credo, a faster paced Holy, Holy and finally easing into a beautiful warm slow Sanctus to round the piece off.  This will challenge your choir and provide them with a beautiful alternative to traditional masses.  About 8 mins in length it fits comfortably with your Christmas repertoire.  It will provide a challenge but is possible with a good community choir which was who it was performed with originally.  Although utilising Christian Liturgy it is suitable for any Christmas concert and will be a worthy addition for any choir or choral group.
