Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774753 Composed by Peter Allen. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Contemporary. Octavo. 12 pages. Sandra Milliken #5302929. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774753). I Still Call Australia Home was written, first performed and recorded by Peter Allen in 1980. In that year the song peaked on the Australian Singles Chart at number 72. But whilst its initial impact was somewhat less than stellar, it has gone on to become one of those songs that is part of the national psyche and is well-known by most Australians. In I still Call Australia Home Peter Allen wrote of his longing, no matter where in the World he might travel, to always return home to Australia, where he could be near his family and friends once again. The song is now regarded as a heart-warming expression of  Australian patriotism and nostalgia for home. Its adoption by Qantas in the mid 1990s as the centrepiece of a long-running advertising campaign exposed a new generation of Australians to the song and greatly boosted its popularity. The Qantas campaign became one of the top Australian television campaigns of all time. It has linked together Australians living at home with those travelling or living overseas. Beginning with a number of well-known Australian musicians, the campaign went on to become associated with the Australian Girls Choir, the National Boys Choir and the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir. The song has featured in television programs, benefit concerts, sporting event ceremonies, and was included in the musical, The Boy From Oz, which starred Todd McKenney as Peter Allen in the Australian production and Hugh Jackman in the title role when the musical transferred to Broadway. This arrangement, with piano accompaniment, is available in SATB, SSA, SAB and 2-Part voicings.

Choral Choir,Choral (3-Part) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1299691 Composed by Charles H. Gabriel. Arranged by Roy Swanson. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 13 pages. Runway Region Publications, LLC #889482. Published by Runway Region Publications, LLC (A0.1299691).   AN EVENING PRAYERCharles H. Gabriel was a noted and very prolific composer of gospel songs and hymns. Many of his hymns and songs are still popular and available in hymnals. One of his more popular songs is Will the Circle Be Unbroken? which has been sung by so many great artists. An Evening Prayer is just that - a prayer to sing to the Lord before retiring for the evening, although as an act of confession and connection with God, it is appropriate any time of the day! Notes from the arranger: This simple anthem has lots of possibilities.Let's start with the solo instrument. Feel free to use a violin, trumpet, flute, clarinet, or whatever you have available. Even a single organ line with a nice reed stop will work well. For the voices and depending on the people you have, you can use three separate voices for the solo parts, or separate sections. When the full choir comes in at mm. E, you will want to ensure good balance. The final Amen can be sung by three soloists or the full choir.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.945405 Composed by Stephen Foster. Arranged by Peggy Carter. Folk,Traditional. Octavo. 10 pages. Peggy Carter #5889603. Published by Peggy Carter (A0.945405). This old song sounds NEW when it uses unexpected chord changes. It starts on a D chord, and ends on a D chord, but its what happens in between that makes this arrangement interesting. The hammer dulcimer accompaniment adds its own unique sound quality. The ranges are within the reach of an upper-level elementary choir through high school choral groups. As a piece of Americana this is a program piece appropriate for general audiences.  (The hammer dulcimer was a popular instrument in 19th Century America, as evidenced by advertisements seen in the Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Ward catalogues, and by the publication of instruction books throughout the 1800s and early 1900s. In fact, the instrument enjoyed a small burst of widespread acclaim due to its being a favorite of Henry Ford, and its inclusion in Henry Ford's Old Fashioned Dance Orchestra.) Follow Choral Music by Peggy Carter and Dulcmer Music by Peggy Carter on Facebook.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1120365 By Philip Le Bas. By J-B Lully / G Bizet. Arranged by Philip Le Bas. Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Octavo. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #721616. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1120365). A new arrangement by Philip Le Bas of a thirteenth century French Christmas carol from Provence harmonized by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-87, attrib.) and, more famously, by Georges Bizet (1838-75, in his L'Arlesienne Suite of 1872.) In France the melody is still tightly associated with Christmas, and French audiences start singing their own Christmas words whenever they hear the melody (the arranger has heard it himself!) The English translation used here is adapted from a variety of sources. The three kings (or more precisely the magi from St Matthew's gospel) are seen marching towards Bethlehem with their fantastic golden wealth and grandeur. But why are they going to see a low-born baby and why do they worship this child who will die on a cross? The organ sets the scene from the beginning with its marching accompaniment, and the first verse is sung in unison by all three parts. The second begins with a canon, as used by Bizet, and then breaks into harmony. The first section of the third verse is much quieter and legato, sung by the sopranos and altos, using wonderful chromatic harmonies based on another section from Bizet's suite. The lyrics express wonder at the beautiful music heard from the camp of the kings. The second section, sung in differentiated unison then begins to wonder why the kings stoop so low to a baby in a manger. Finally the fourth verse, sung in full harmony, returns to the marching accompaniment and reiterates the amazement of meeting these kings with their mysterious mission. The carol is aimed at parish choirs with limited resources, but a good organist. The melody is well-known, much of it is in unison, and other sections are relatively easy to sing. Care should however should be taken to sing the dotted rhythms accurately - this is what gives the carol its marching character.
