Mixed choir (SSAATTBB) - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6458 (The Tomtit's Message). Composed by Peteris Vasks. This edition: choral score. Schott Chamber Choir. Downloadable, Choral score. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q6458. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6458). Latvian. It is particularly in his choral music that Peteris Vasks reveals his strong attachment to his Latvian home country. Nature, customs and traditions and the idea of freedom are the central themes of the texts he sets to music, while carefully using modern techniques of choral singing as well. Alternating with traditional, even archaic singing, the music creates a multi-faceted, immediately effective sound image in the listener's mind. The poem 'Ziles zina' by the contemporary Latvian poet Uldis Berzins (*1944) centres on the themes of man, nature and transience in aphoristic brevity. Vasks wrote a piece of music on this poem which contains downright rewarding tasks for the choir and opens up to the listener a fascinating world of sound.

SSAATTBB choir unaccompanied - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.7.0705-E Composed by Nick Omiccioli. National Collegiate Choral Organization Choral Series. Secular, 21st century. 13 pages. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #7.0705-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.7.0705-E). UPC: 600313707056. English.A Song of Joys (2008/revised 2011) was composed for the Kansas City Chorale and given its first performance in March of 2009. The newly revised version was presented by the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers in June 2011. A Song of Joys is Walt Whitman's vast description of all of life’s—and death’s— joys, ranging from nature, love, and nostalgia, to more specific things like being a farmer, a soldier, mother, and reminiscing of catching lobsters by boiling them until they turn red. All of these ingredients—and many more—contribute to Whitman’s jubilant song. Selected passages from his lengthy poem have been set here for SATB divisi unaccompanied chorus.

Mixed choir (SSAATTBB) a cappella - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7169 Für gemischten Chor (SSAATTBB) a cappella. Composed by Bertold Hummel. This edition: choral score. Schott Choral Music. Downloadable, choral score. Op. 97e, 1. Duration 4 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q7169. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7169). German. Martin Hummel 2009.

Latin. This Ave Maria is an arrangement made by Bertold Hummel in December 1997 of his motet Gegrüßet seist du, Maria [Hail Maria] (C 53714) which he had composed on 20 May 1993 with a dedication in memory of his deeply religioues sister Erika. This Latin version was dedicated to the Cathedral Music Master Siegfried Koesler in Berold Hummel also co-founded the Bruckner Festival in Würzburg together with Koesler and Erwin Horn, a specialist in the opening section of their sorks and Bertold Humme quotes Bruckner's final cadence on the name of Jesus prios to the Amen. The text of the so-called Angelic Salutaion is based on the Bible passages from the Gospel of St Luke (luke 1, 28b, 42) which was extended over the centuries with additions such as Jesus (14th century) and the Invocation to Mary. This text was included in the Breviary of Pope Pius V in 1568 which officially confirmed its status as a prayer.
