This is a simplified harp arrangement suitable for small harps of 15 strings or more.  Both hands are written in the treble clef.  Range is from Middle C up to Treble High A.  Can easily be adapted to fit harps of various sizes and strings.  There are no lever changes. Although originally intended to be performed as duets, the pieces can also work nicely as solos by playing the harp 1 part and omitting Harp 2. The Highlander's Farewell to Ireland is a wire harp solo. Designations gut or nylon harp and Celtic harp are interchangeable; the gut or nylon distinction is made in pieces that call for wire-strung harp as Harp II in order to clarify the need for the two distinct sound colors. Harmonics are played where written. Fingerings are generally omitted except for damping suggestions in The Highlander's Farewell. This book contains only the score, with harp 1 and harp 2 on the same page. Page turns have been adjusted so they are as easy as possible.

This is my simplified arrangement of Leaves from the Vine from the beloved animated series Avatar: the Last Airbender, as well as the more recent Netflix live-action adaptation by the same name. It is appropriate for beginner harpists working with an instrument as small as 24 strings, ranging from the F below middle C to the third F above Middle C (though the final verse of the song can be played an octave lower than written on smaller instruments). It is written in the key of B-flat Major with no accidentals or lever changes. As such, it could work on an instrument model without levers, so long as the instrument is tuned with Bs and Es flat. My own instrument is a Harpsicle Fullsicle Harp. But I believe it could also work, with few or no modifications, on a Harp-E, most/all of the Roosebeck Pakistani harp models, Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, or Musicmakers Sonnet 29. And, obviously, on any larger instrumentPlease note that this simplified version of the song for beginner harpists contains ONLY Leaves from the Vine and none of the medley themes in my more advanced version.I also, as mentioned, have a more complex arrangement of this piece, appropriate for intermediate harpists, published seperately.
