Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797336 Arranged by Nancy Hurrell. Celtic,Classical,Concert,Holiday. Score. 106 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4807901. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797336). Playing in a harp ensemble is bliss! Continuing in the tradition of Nancy Hurrell’s other ensemble books, these arrangements for mixed level groups are fun for everyone. The tunes are from Scotland and Ireland, and include a duet,  and three-part and four-part ensembles. There are also seven great solos. In addition to the usual toe-tapping Scottish reels, the arrangements use melodic patterns to suggest ripples in the sea (Aran Boat Song), fluttering wings (The Butterfly), and jingling coins (Little Donald of the Sweets). There’s a wonderful range of styles from ancient harmonies to traditional Carolan to jazzy reels. These arrangements have multi-level parts so everyone can join in and play together. Solos are Loch Gamhna, Cliffs of Moher,The Birken Tree, Captain Campbell, Eilean Beag Donn a’Chuain, Little Brown Island in the Ocean (D. Morrison), The High Reel, George Brabazon, Second Air (Turlough O’Carolan). Duet Arrangements are Latha a’ Siubhal Slèibhe Dhomh, One Day as I was Travelling the Mountains.Three Part Ensembles are Domhnall Beag an t-Siucair, Little Donald of the Sweets, Cha Bhi Mi ’Gad Thàladh, I Will Not Rock You to Sleep, The Butterfly, Miss Murphy (Turlough O’Carolan), The Aran Boat Song. Four Part Ensemble is Flowers of Edinburgh.

Lever Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1453416 By Al Hibbler. By Alex North and Hy Zaret. Arranged by Carrie Tollett and Christy-Lyn Dosé. Contemporary,Soul. Score. 9 pages. Learning the Harp #1032649. Published by Learning the Harp (A0.1453416). This classic love ballad is a staple to add to your repertoire. People will be so pleasantly surprised to hear it played on the harp! The arrangement captures the bittersweet atmosphere of the song well and feels so comfortable to play. One of the biggest challenges in this piece is playing it up to tempo while allowing it to sound relaxed and effortless.Difficulty Level and Skills Required: The right hand plays the melody line, and the left hand has 4 finger brackets with a lot of continuous placing. There’s some jumping around the registers, crossing over hands, and quick lever changes.Type of Harp: Big harp version is for 33 strings or larger. The small harp version works for 26 strings or larger.Range: For big harps: Lowest note is D, almost two octaves below middle C. Highest note is E, two and a half octaves above middle C. For small harps: Lowest note is F, below middle C. Highest note is G, two and a half octaves above middle C.Levers/Pedals: In the key of C major. Many Bflat and Eflat lever changes throughout.

Harp - Digital Download SKU: A0.912226 Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Harpoline. Celtic,Folk,World. Score. 3 pages. Harpoline #6204183. Published by Harpoline (A0.912226). This is an Irish traditional hornpipe and slip jig. A hornpipe is in a 4/4 time but with a different beat and swing from a reel. A slip jig is in 9/8 time so it feels like a 3 time. I have joined them together as they work well but one can play them separately from each other. The rights of man just has one relatively easy lever change (and a change back). One needs to be of an intermediate level to play these tunes well. The key is E-minor and with the small key change that means one needs levers on F and C. Piano players can also play these but will need to change the fingering.
