This is an original composition for small or beginner harp. I wrote it on a 26-string lap harp, but the range (from the C below middle C to the C above middle C) would fit a harp as small as 22 strings. It is written in A minor, with no sharps, flats, or other lever changes. As such, this piece should be playable on pretty much any standard small or lap harp, regardless of whether it has levers.

Suggested harp models include Harpsicle Harps, Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, Musicmakers Sonnet 29, Fireside Harps, Marini Made lap harp models, Roosebeck Pakistani harps, Heartland Harps Air Serenity, Harp-E harps, and so on.

The piece was composed to cheer up a fellow harpist who is still at the beginning of their harp journey. It is meant to invoke a medieval castle, and, as such, could be the perfect piece to take to a renaissance fair, an outdoor wedding, a larp-ing event, or perhaps on vacation with you, if you plan on touring any old castles with your small/lap harp in tow and trying out the acoustics.

The song is appropriate for beginner harpists. You may need to practice replacing in a few places to avoid buzzing. But the piece only ever requires you to place in one direction at a time and minimizes the amount of time both hands play simultaneously. You can play it slower than I do in the recording, if you choose, and it should still sound nice.

This is a traditional Irish tune in 6/8 march time. A little reminiscent of Brian Boru's march. It is in G major, but one of the F's is natural. This is clearly marked in the part. Part one can be mixed with only part 3 or 2, so if there are only two harpists take your pick. The harp 1 part can also be played alone. Part 3 is the easiest and for part 2 one needs to be at least of intermediate ability. .

A beloved traditional Welsh folk song suitable for any occasion, this is arranged for an ensemble of 3 to 6 harps (lever or pedal).   All fingerings and lever/pedal changes are clearly marked. Accessible to students and fun to play! Harp parts 1 and 2 are advanced-beginner or intermediate (requires reading a dotted 8th- sixteenth rhythm). Harp parts 3-4 may be combined and played by one person, or split into two even easier parts; their rhythms are simpler (quarter notes).

Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 each have one or two lever changes; F and C levers are required. That is, they wouldn't be suitable for harps with NO levers.

This is a short, 1-page original sketch for small harp, with a range from the F below middle C to the second B above middle C. It is written in A minor (aka no sharps or flats) and includes no accidentals. As such, it should fit pretty much any standard model of small harp with zero modifications, including any model of Harpsicle Harp (even the ones without levers), Roosebeck Pakistani harps, Harp-E, Musicmakers Sonnet 29, or Dusty Strings Ravenna 26.

Because you will need to silence each chord immediately after playing to get that sharp, abbrasive, almost staccato sound from my video (something I didn't have the tools to notate fully in the score), this song is trickier than it looks and is not really a new beginner piece, despite the simple notation. Beginners are, of course, welcome to try playing it exactly as written. But you should know that it will not sound exactly the same.

This beloved English folk song has been known in many versions since the 17th century. It gained even more popularity upon being featured in Walt Disney films “So Dear to My Heart� in 1948 and “Cinderella� in 2015. All parts may be played on Lever (Celtic) harp or Pedal harp. This arrangement may be played as an easy solo by only harp 1 (omit the measures of rest at the beginning and end), but is especially charming with the addition of the intermediate harp 2 part. For example, a teacher may play the harp 2 part to accompany harp 1, making a lovely recital piece for a beginning student. The harp 1 part includes lyrics so that it may (optionally) be sung by the harp 1 player. The optional harp 3 part is even easier than harp 1, and may be played by another beginning student. Cello or bassoon may be substituted for harp 3.
