This is a simplified harp arrangement suitable for small harps of 15 strings or more.  Both hands are written in the treble clef.  Range is from Middle C up to Treble High A.  Can easily be adapted to fit harps of various sizes and strings.  There are no lever changes. This piece has a simple one note right hand melody, and an easy one or two notes per measure for the left hand.  Very playable for a beginning harpist, but chords could be added instead of single LH notes if a slightly more advanced arrangment is desired.  This lovely, gentle piece would be beautiful for background music, or for a church offertory or meditative music.  This piece can be played on any harp such as a Harpsicle, Aklot harp, Fireside harp, Waring harp, Roosebeck Harp, Lyon and Healy, Camac, Salvi, Venus, and any Celtic harp.YouTube video tutorial coming soon on our YT channel, Easy Harp Music 🎶.

Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889431). Blind Mary was composed by O`Carolan, it is an irresistible enchanting little piece. In this file there are 3 versions for 3 different sizes of harps. One in F for a big harp, one in Eb for medium size and the one in F for a little 3 oct. lap harp a very similar one to the one that usually O`Carolan used to perform. The melodic bass played with the left hand demands a little bit of coordination but the arrangement is focused in the main melody and is very easy to perform in all this 3 versions. The piece is so beautiful that I recommend it to be played always twice in a row.  Some interpretation symbols are used as a performance suggestion. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering. Feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills and taste. Have fun! The score was written on Finale. The sound file is the version in Eb for a medium size diatonic harp, it was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of the score. Known as „The Last Irish Bard, he is an Honored and Beloved Irish composer.  He became an itinerante harpist after losing his eyesight to smallpox.
