This arrangement of Deep in the Meadow from Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Gamesis fitted specifically to the range of a standard small/lap 26-string harp, like the Harpsicle Fullsicle. But you can obviously play it on a larger harp, as well. It ranges from the 3rd G above middle C to the C one octave below middle C. As such, it should also fit the range of a Harp-E, Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, any of the Marini-Made lap harp line, Musicmakers Sonnet 29, or a number of Roosebeck Pakistani models.This in-world lullaby bookends the original 2010's movie franchise. And, while it's less dark than The Hanging Tree (which I reference musically), it has always felt to me inherently haunted by the violence it tries to soothe away. I like to think it gives spooky filmscore / Wednesday Addams vibes, with a neoclassical air, while still remaining very accessible to a less-experienced musician with a small, simple, or budget instrument.It is in the key of A minor (i.e. no sharps or flats) with no lever changes. It should also already fit the range of most common small harp models, including Harpsicle harps (even if your model has no levers!), Roosebeck Pakistani harps (it goes no lower than the F below middle C), Harp-E harps (it goes no higher than your high E), Dusty Strings Ravenna, Musicmakers Sonnet Lap Harp, and others. It can also, obviously, be played on any and all larger harp models.Played at full-speed, some of the turn-arounds in the right-hand, as well as the octave jump in the middle, can prove tricky (as you can see from my own playing in the video!). But played under tempo and more expressively, it could be accessible even to beginner/early-intermediate harpists, so long as you are learning to replace fingers and change directions.Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. This is my slightly more complex arrangement of Leaves from the Vine from the beloved animated series Avatar: the Last Airbender, as well as the more recent Netflix live-action adaptation by the same name. It is appropriate for intermediate harpists working with an instrument as small as 26 strings, ranging from the C below middle C to the third G above Middle C (though it can obviously also be played on a larger harp, as well). It is written in the key of B-flat Major with no accidentals or lever changes. As such, it could work on an instrument model without levers, so long as the instrument is tuned with Bs and Es flat. My own instrument is a Harpsicle Fullsicle Harp. But I believe it could also work, with one or two very minor modifications, on a Harp-E, some of the Roosebeck Pakistani harp models (though check your range to be sure), Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, or Musicmakers Sonnet 29.The intro, outro, and transitions of the song weave in a medley of other themes from Avatar: The Last Airbender, including excerpts from The Avatar's Love, Four Seasons, and the main title theme. The core of the arrangement, however, centers around on variations of Leaves from the Vine.I also have a simplified, beginner-appropriate arrangement of this piece published seperately.
