Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797493 Composed by Carol Wood. Celtic,Halloween,Holiday,New Age,Spiritual. Score. 22 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4886961. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797493).  While all eight of these Celtic holidays may not be truly ancient, several of them certainly are; some, like Samhain, have had Christianizing veils cast over them but have kept many of the pre-Christian customs associated with their celebration. Interested harpists will find a wealth of available information about these holidays, their names, and their customs. Imbolc, February 1st or 2nd, is also the Feast of St. Bridget or Brigid and is associated with the ancient goddess of that name in Celtic mythology.Ostara is the name sometimes given to the neo-Celtic celebration of the Spring Equinox. This piece depicts the dawn of the day and of the year. Beltaine, the joyous celebration of spring’s warmth and wealth of flowers and new greenery, occurs on the first day of May. The longest day of the year and the shortest night mark the Summer Solstice-Midsummer. Since long before Shakespeare’s funny and lyrical play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Summer Solstice has been associated with magic.Lughnasadh, on August 1st, is the festival of the first harvest. A version of the name of this festival survives in Manx and Scots Gaelic as well as in Irish Gaelic, and the name itself derives from Lugh, one of the most important Celtic godsMabon marks the Autumn Equinox and the end of summer; for me, it is a wistful moment of the year-extremely beautiful yet transitory. Samhain is one of the most significant celebrations in the Celtic year- the word itself means the end of summer, the beginning of the dark part of the year. It survives even in non-Celtic countries as Halloween, thanks to its adoption into the Christian calendar as All Hallows’ Eve. It is said to be the  time when the veils between this world and the next are at their most thin. The Winter Solstice is marked in many European cultures as a time for celebrating the birth of the new light and a time for decorating with evergreens like holly. For The Holly King, modal and traditional versions of the carol The Holly and the Ivy, were used because of the lyrics’ references to the rising of the sun, and the running of the deer.

Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1301524 Composed by Edgar Allan Poe and James Horner. Arranged by Laurie Peterson. Film/TV,Halloween,Holiday. Score. 5 pages. Laurie Peterson #891153. Published by Laurie Peterson (A0.1301524). Great for Halloween! This song from Hocus Pocus (1993) is better known as COME, LITTLE CHILDREN. It's arranged for intermediate lever harp with lots of lever flips mainly on F's and G's. It is also arranged for pedal harp in a separate edition. After I practiced the lever changes a few times, it came together quickly.I also added Chim Chim Cher-ee from Mary Poppins (1964) in the middle because they have similar melodies and harmonies. It matches the eerie feeling of the title song and makes for a fun arrangement! The 30 second audio excerpt is taken from the end of Come, Little Children to the beginning of Chim Chim Cher-ee so you can hear the transition.

Lever Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1500755 By Nino Rota. By Eddie Snyder, Larry Kusik, and Nino Rota. Arranged by Cara Smuts, Carrie Tollett, and Kevin Smuts. Film/TV,Romantic Period. Score. 5 pages. Learning the Harp #1076835. Published by Learning the Harp (A0.1500755). This rendition of A Time for Us is a beautiful performance piece that displays the full range of the harp! It sounds very impressive to play and creates such a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. In this piece you’ll get practice with lots of 4-finger arpeggios between the two hands, jumping between registers, series of octaves and 10th intervals, many lever changes and some glissandos. If you learn along with the Video Course, Carrie will show you how to go beyond just playing the notes on the page by sharing tips on how to bring out the melody line so it sounds musical and doesn’t get lost among the many notes. She’ll also show you exactly how to practice those lever changes so that they feel controlled and predictable rather than rushed and frantic! This piece is challenging but so rewarding to play.Difficulty Level and Skills Required: Late-Intermediate. The right hand often plays the melody line and sometimes serves as a continuation of the left-hand accompaniment. The right hand also handles the quick placement of rolled chords under the melody and series of octaves. The left hand consists of 10th intervals, jumps between registers, and executes more challenging cross-under passages. Together, the two hands perform continuous placements, arpeggios, glissandos, and numerous lever changes.Type of Harp: For big harps, 34 strings or larger.Range: The lowest note is D almost two octaves below middle C, and the highest note is A two and a half octaves above middle C.Levers/Pedals: In the key of G major (F levers set to F sharp). Harp - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889432 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Baroque,Christmas,Concert,Standards. Score. 10 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4736137. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889432). I found this Passacaglia from Bach among some of my own handwritten manuscripts. It is a phenomenal piece. Bach was definitive a great artist, a Genius. Passacaglia is an Italian word. This music form was originated in early 17th-century Spain as a strummed interlude between instrumentally accompanied dances or songs. In this piece we can clearly experience this „Spanish strumming between „Bars 137 and 145. The passacaglia was redefined in the late 1620s by Italian composer Girolamo Frescobaldi, who transformed it into a series of continuous variations over an ostinato bass pattern (which itself may be varied). I added to this piece some interpretation symbols and rearranged it for the harp but every single note was left as it would be found in the original version.  The piece is appropriate for advanced performers. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering.  The piece is difficult but very Human. It requires focused endurance and some practice on certain passages.  Once learned you will also be playing much better.  Feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills and taste. Have fun! It is a piece that can be used in many different kinds of situations, from a serious concert hall to a marriage, it is perfect for Christmas celebrations and all other kinds of Spiritual events. When performed Live It will give you back a great  feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire. The score was written on Finale. The sound file is the version in D minor for a concert harp, it was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of this score. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Luis Anjos Teixeira Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the all the Love, the wonderful painting and cover design. Special Thanks to Johann Sebastian Bach, Stray Dog Nina, Stray Queen Mimi, Carlinhos, Maria Pontinha, Maria Joaninha, Schwarzenegger, Maria Koboldinha.  For all Living beings on Earth, for all our Ancestors,  Thank You for all of You  All Your Love and Compassion. Published by Lior Navok Music (A0.976039). QUARTET FOR FLUTE, CLARINET, BASSOON AND HARP (1994) Set of PartsDURATION: 27 minutes MOVEMENTS: 4 movements INSTRUMENTATION: Flute/Piccolo; Clarinet; Bassoon; Harp PROGRAM NOTES: The composer writes about his work: The Quartet for flute, clarinet bassoon and harp is influenced by impressionistic French music and Jazz, which was my main influence at the time. The first movement starts with a pastoral character, somewhat naive, but soon starts to raise some concerned thoughts, and so, ends dark. The second movement is a light flowing movement built on pentatonic scale theme. A Bassoon cadenza bridges between the second and the third movement, which is a long Passacaglia with lamento character. In the last movement, piccolo is used instead of flute. This movement opens with a fugue between the four instruments, which leads to a lyrical second theme followed by harp solo and ends with a Grand Finale.
