Banjo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1002650 By John Denver. By David Leslie Froggatt, Jane Barnes, and Johnny Marks. Arranged by Doctor JerBear. Rock. Score. 6 pages. Doctor JerBear #6658633. Published by Doctor JerBear (A0.1002650). This is an arrangement of the Christmas Classic Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer for clawhammer banjo.Although I listed as intermediate, it is really more beginner/intermediate.  It uses mostly bum ditty, hammer ons/pull offs with open strings, and some simple drop thumb patterns.  The whole song stays in the first five frets.  But I marked it as intermediate because it uses a variant of Cumberland Gap tuning, and the tempo is rather fast.  It is a great tune for learning just how much one can produce with basic clawhammer techniques in Cumberland Gap tuning.

Banjo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1002652 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Doctor JerBear. Classical,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 5 pages. Doctor JerBear #6714937. Published by Doctor JerBear (A0.1002652). This is an arrangement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for clawhammer banjo.  Much of it could be attempted at the beginner level, except for a small amount of drop thumb and a couple of difficult chord shapes/changes.  Real proficiency is more towards the immediate level though, since being so well-known and at a slow tempo, mistakes are very noticeable.  Having to play it technically perfect, while also trying to communicate Beethoven's turmoil coming to grips with his hearing loss, makes this piece more difficult than it first appears.
