Dulcimer,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1370318 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Mark Alan Wade. Advent,Christian,Christmas. Individual part. 2 pages. Mark Alan Wade #952369. Published by Mark Alan Wade (A0.1370318). This delightful medley offers a glimpse into Christmastime with three favorite carols arranged for Hammered Dulcimer. Beginning with the French carol Patapan, the minor melody is introduced over an ostinato in the right hand. A clever modulation takes us to G Major and Jingle Bells. The right hand continues its hand independence while the left hand plays the familiar melody above. After a repeat of the chorus, an elongated tag brings us to 3/4 time and D major for The Holly and The Ivy. With a slightly slower tempo, this beloved carol sings out over an evolving right hand ostinato that is no longer confined to root position chords. This piece is perfect for intermediate players and beyond who are ready to add independent parts for each hand. It's fun to play and quick to learn.
