The movie was a musical Western, starring Presley as Clint Reno, a young man who falls in love with his brother’s fiancée after the brother is presumed dead in the Civil War. The song was a huge hit, selling over a million copies before the movie was released. The song has a simple and gentle melody, with a romantic and sentimental lyric.
