A 7/8 bottom bass (preferred 5th bass) groove is sure to interest both other percussionists and casual viewers! Gone Fishin' can serve as a great exercise for intermediate drumlines looking to work on accent vs. tap height with diddles and paradiddles, work on counting and playing in mixed-meter time signatures, and is great for the lot or the stands! It appeared on the same album (Blood Sugar) as other heavyweight songs in the band's history, such as Give It Away, Under The Bridge, and Breaking in the Girk. At first, the intro lick performed by the guitar, and the guitar solo was what inspired me to the arrangement, but I also found the bass line, another attraction to do the job.
