The Six Progressive Rock Solos for drum set were composed for the accomplished player and were inspired by the drumming styles heard in jazz-rock-fusion groups and artists such as The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, King Crimson, Jeff Beck, and Weather Report to name a few. These solos represent a synthesis of these different groups offering intricate and asymmetrical rhythms and phrases. These solos would be useful for instruction, recitals and concerts.

All six solos require a 6-piece drum set which includes a bass drum, snare drum, 4 tom-toms, high-hat, ride cymbal, 2 different crash cymbals, and a china cymbal.
