Henry Purcell (1659 -1695), was an English composer. Purcell's legacy was a uniquely English form of Baroque music. This piece was originally written for 3 viols. This interesting baroque trio is arranged for violin, viola and cello. Full of syncopations and harmonic changes, this piece is suitable for the intermediate/advanced student, amateur or professional group.

Let us wander was originally written for the opera The Indian Queen. Unfortunately Purcell died before the opera could be completed but he did manage to finish several arias and instrumental sections of the work, including this song.

9. Aria in F (Henry Purcell) - a short, vigorous piece by this early English Baroque composer.
10. Saraband with Division (Henry Purcell) - a slower piece, reminiscent of Byrd's Pavan, that can be paired with #9.
