O Come, O Come, Emmanuel (Veni, Emmanuel) is a Christian hymn for Advent and Christmas. This hymn has its origins over 1,200 years ago in monastic life in the 8th or 9th century. The Latin metrical form of the hymn was composed as early as the 12th century.  This arrangement is for Easy Intermediate String Trio (two violins and cello). Haste to the Wedding is a popular double jig (played in 6/8 time) in the U.S. and British Isles. One theory suggests Haste to the Wedding derives from a tradition in County Donegal, Ireland, where it was played as the bride marched from her home to the church on her wedding day. Haste to the Wedding was played during Queen Victoria's wedding to the thousands waiting outside the chapel for the queen's arrival. It has been much recorded, including by Fennig's All-Star String Band.
This arrangement is for Intermediate String Trio (two violins and cello). A separate sheet is provided for each instrument along with the score.

Irishman's Heart to the Ladies and Banish Misfortune, two well-known jigs, are combined here and arranged for an Intermediate String Ensemble Trio for two violins and a cello. The second violin part is also suitable for viola. The first jig is in D Major and the second in D Mixolydian, both in 6/8 time.  Irish jigs are often played in combination and this set of two with its key change from major to mode provides a lift for dancers and listeners.  The players have fun as they pass the melody among themselves like a bouncing ball.  Separate sheets are provided for each instrument in addition to the score.

Eternal Father, Strong to Save is the name of the poem set to the music of John Bacchus Dykes called Melita after the island of Malta where Paul was shipwrecked. The lyrics (not included here) and the music have strong associations with sailors and seafarers, particularly the navies of the United States and Great Britain and is also known as the Hymn of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, the Royal Navy Hymn, and the United States Navy Hymn. Often played at funerals and memorial services, it was included in funerals of Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, and  John F. Kennedy. .

What Wondrous Love Is This is arranged here for an easy intermediate string trio (violin, viola and cello). This American Christian hymn is taken from William Walker's Southern Harmony (1835), a shape note hymnal. The lyrics of the hymn were first published in 1811 and the melody is older with sources referring to various origins. Each of the four iterations builds on the melody. The second and third are variations in baroque style. A score and single sheets for each instrument are included. This arrangement is appropriate for Lent and Easter holidays, and its modal key and rhythm make it particularly appropriate for a processional or memorial piece.

Ebenezer. You may not recognize that title. Ebenezer is a Welsh hymn tune composed by Thomas John Williams in the late 19th C.  It is the melody for many well-known hymns, including Come, O Spirit, Dwell Among Us, Let My People Seek Their Freedom, O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus, Once to Every Man and Nation, and Thy Strong Word Did Cleave the Darkness.
Ebenezer is arranged here as an Intermediate String Trio for First and Second Violin and Cello. The second violin part is also suitable for Viola.
