Halo is probably Beyonce's most loved song, and I had a blast emulating the original string and synth melodies as closely as possible while converting the score to 3 voices for string trio - violin, viola and cello. I did my best to recreate some of the original driving rhythms in the cello and viola parts to capture a percussive feel. Every instrument has a turn at the melody, and even with just 3 voices I found myself pulling out a lot of countermelodies, duets, and descants after listening to the original audio and the backing track in particular. All parts are very manageable for sight reading at gigs and are bowed and provided with rehearsal letters and measure numbers.

In this arrangement, every instrument gets a turn at the melody, including a tenor clef section toward the end giving the cellist a chance to rock your world playing the chorus vocal line.
