Various articles in specialized journals and sites have cited the composer, such as the Flutist Quarterly (Circus Brasilis - The flute music of Sergio Roberto de Oliveira), Early Music America (Something New for Early Music), Andante.com (The heirs of Villa-Lobos), 21st Century Music, Musicabrasileira.org, etc. Sergio Roberto de Oliveira has frequently been invited to lecture at American universities, and has spoken at more than a dozen institutions including Princeton and Duke. In 2009 he was Artist-in-Residence at Duke University. In addition the USA and the UK, Oliveira's music has also been played in many countries, with invitations for concerts exclusively with his music in México, Italy and Holland (Amsterdam).  The Spanish Magazine Sonograma has published 2 interviews with Sergio.

Sergio is the founder and a member of the group of composers Prelúdio 21. The group is one of the most active worldwide. It holds a distinguished place in Brazilian contemporary music, having been active for 15 consecutive seasons, with a permanent series of monthly concerts since 2008. In 2011 the group released the CD String Quartets, with performances by the Quarteto Radamés Gnattali. Oliveira is also a member of the group of composers Vox Novus, based in New York.

To commemorate 15 years of activity as a composer, Oliveira released a box set with 4 CDs, as well as a CD with composer Mark Hagerty, and produced the series QUINZE, with 13 concerts including his works, between July and October of 2012.  More than 130 musicians, including 28 composers, participated of QUINZE (CDs and series).

His discography includes 14 CDs as producer, 14 as composer, 22 as general producer, 2 as arranger and 2 as pianist. His catalog of compositions includes approximately 115 works for various ensembles, including Symphony Orchestra.  

Sergio Roberto de Oliveira is a member of the Latin Academy of the Arts and Science of Recording.

He died from pancreatic cancer in 2017.

In this arrangement, two of Brahms most famous and beautiful quartets have been set to string quartet with piano or organ accompaniment. Included is Wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen (How lovely are thy dwellings), the fourth movement from A German Requiem, to words of the Holy Scriptures, Op. 45, and Der Gang zum Liebchen (Journey to thy beloved) from Three Quartets, Op. 31. These quartets have been arranged to be performed by all levels of musicians in a variety of settings.

Adam Lenhart (b. 2002) is a University of Michigan student of music theory, composition, voice and organ from Ottawa Lake, Michigan. As a theorist, his areas of study vary widely, including 18th century counterpoint, the early American Sacred Harp tradition and impressionism. As a composer, his music draws inspiration from nature, mathematics and poetry. In 2020 he was awarded the Michigan Music Education Association’s Young Composers of Michigan award, as well as first prize in the University of Toledo Young Composers competition. Lenhart has also participated in numerous ensembles across Michigan, including the MYAF All-State Choir, Tecumseh Pops Orchestra, University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club and the SMTD University Choir. He thoroughly enjoys collaboration with other composers, performers, poets and visual artists. Some of his recent projects include collaborations with individuals from the University of Michigan Chamber Music, History, and Poetry departments.

Drake released his album Certified Lover Boy in September of 2021, and as he had done several times on previous albums, he included a musical interlude featuring a guest artist. On this album, the interlude was the song Yebba's Heartbreak (sung by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Yebba), which soon became a fan favorite despite the fact that Drake does not appear at all on the track. Written as an ode to the singer's late mother, who suffered from depression, the song is a haunting tribute that remains in the minds and hearts of everyone who listens to it. This Cellobat arrangement for your string quartet maintains the pensive atmosphere, unconventional harmonies, ephemeral melodies, and unexpected chord changes of the original for a chart that will definitely give your audience chills -- and don't worry, it has been transposed to the string-friendly key of A minor (from its original key of G# minor)! Rated intermediate; there isn't anything too difficult in this chart, just make sure to pay attention to the accidentals! Sarah Cellobat Chaffee earned her bachelor's degree in cello performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is now based in Las Vegas. She currently performs with Aerosmith in their Deuces Are Wild residency at The Park MGM Theater, and she regularly performs at Allegiant Stadium as a member of the house band for the Las Vegas Raiders football team. Sarah is also the principal cellist in David Perrico's Pop Strings Orchestra, a world-renowned 14-piece dance band, and she plays regularly for Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, and the Femmes Of Rock. Sarah has performed and recorded with many other artists including Halsey, Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Kygo, Ricky Martin, Sarah Brightman, Il Divo, and Lady Antebellum. For string quartet Score and parts Artaria Editions AE431 Edited by Allan Badley 142 pages This is a scholarly edition of a public domain work. The string quartet holds pride of place in Bologne de Saint-Georges instrumental works, with three sets of six works each. With neat but surely unintentional symmetry these quartets include his first and last instrumental works, the Six quatuors à cordes, Op.1, and the Six Quatuors concertans, Op.15. The present quartets fall midway between these two publications. Composed in 1777 (according to Gabriel Banat, the best and most recent of Saint-Georges’ biographers) the Six Quartetto concertans were issued two years later in a breathtakingly inaccurate edition by Durieu in Paris. Given the unusually high number of errors and inconsistencies in Durieu’s edition it seems most unlikely that Saint-Georges was involved in its preparation. No other edition of the quartets is known although a second printing of the set using the same plates was made ca 1782.
